This episode features Uncle Ruckus, a self-hating black man (voiced by Gary Anthony Williams), getting his own offensive BET reality show.
In related news, the Cartoon Network has not acknowledged that the BET attacks were the reason for pulling the “Boondocks” episodes. All a spokesperson there would say is that Turner Cable was not contacted by BET, Lee or Hudlin.
This shit hit it right on the head….. people afraid to say it but you know it is how we are perceived ….. unfortunately.
Just look at the kind of crap (we) struggle to get on tv…. Flav O Flav and his magnificently dumb “bitches” oh wait im sorry its not that we struggle to put it on … its just that (some) really fucked up producers are willing to put it on as long as it
a) depicts black men as senseless fools
b) exploits black women as dumb ass ignorant money grubbing whores of Ho’s
c) makes sure that the camera is regularly on black folks that massacre the English language
d) portrays blacks as cold unfeeling and purely superficial mindless fools.
Its almost as if Martin Luther King never existed and the shit that is rammed down our throat and crammed into our heads was part of our birthright.

i dont thinnk BET is a bad network, altho there are many shows that i am not interested in. I also dont believe that I am being portrayed in an obscure way bc of some of the shows that are on that network…we as ppl period need to stop blaming others actions in order to create an excuse as to why ppl think of blk ppl or any other race the way that they do..ppl who put all blk ppl in a certain category bc of what they saw someone do or an experience they had with a certain person, is a fool bc every blk person doesnt represent me..i represent myself..be you regardless
