BET’s “Access Granted” premiered Keyshia Cole’s new video “Heaven Sent” this week. As we told you a few weeks ago, the video was filmed in beautiful Hawai’i (shout out to my peeps in the 808) and was inspired by the “Footprints in the Sand” poem. Benny Boom-directed it and this is the fourth single from Cole’s sophomore album, Just Like You.

Let the comparisons to Mary J. Blige begin. That video is just like the Queen of Hip Hop and R & B’s video “Everything” circa 1998. Surely, Cole had to know that; especially with all the shots of the Hawaiin scenery. She’s no Mary, but I like the song.

number 8 she does look like lambchops, but she is beautiful. I can’t stand when people say someone looks ugly. Ugly to who? you? don’t hate. Anyway. Keyshia reminds me of Rihanna a little bit. No dancing, no rhythm, dead in the face, no emotion. Keyshia is very talented but she needs to work on performing.

ok so i love keyshia .. i see where the directors was tryna go w/ the video but it was kind of boring and repetitive. I wish there was more . More scenery .. she could of been sittin on a rock or something . Keisha I love the song the video is OK Hawaii is beautiful but I agree she is bouncing too much she should have shown a little more elegance, I would like to see more of her feminine side especially since she had on those beautiful dresses. She is a pretty woman but I agree the grill needs some work. Keisha voice is beautiful but she is definitely not a performer.
I liked the video and the song…it’s sound and message is different from whats out by other artists right now so I can appreciate what she’s doing. I agree with the people above who have said that she could have slowed down or did away with the bouncing.
