This is a great, visionary dance video! It completly fits the record, and the Whoo Kids inspiration that Jan so clearly articulated on the Access Granted episode. I love Jan’s screen presence, the choreography, and the sexy cinematography. I hope that the general audience can see this for the fine work of art that it is, and for the urban community, look beyond their “hood lense,” to see how bananas this song and video really are! Also, Rock With U is one of 3 singles out at radio right now, so if you prefer LUV but you ain’t hearing it, just request it on your local station. Commercial radio has some kind of conspiracy going against Janet, so real fans and supporters have to step up to get her the spins that she deserves. Sales alone just got Feedback in to the Top 20 on the Hot 100, so it can be done.

yeah there is something going on at radio…i know in atlanta v103 is not supporting her, it seems like v103 is owned by cbs and they are telling their stations not to play Janet. Of course v103 will not admit this…but fuck them! For a black station not to support their own because their corporate bosses are pulling the strings is wack! Finally! Janet has another hot video. She hasn’t had a hot dance video since “If”. She’s had good videos, but “If” rocked. I’ts old and steps aren’t as complex, but it’s flawless. This is very “Slave 4 U”, but it’s dope. Go Damita!
Ok, so I like the video and the song had to grow on me a minute ago, but its good. But I am just tired of her not really singing. Whatever happened to her singing lyrics and the times where I didn’t have to use the lyrics book to know what the hell she was saying. She has never been the best singer, but damn. I miss it. The last album that she actually let her vocal cords vibrate on was All For You.
But I still love her. No matter what. The only song I don’t like on the album is Never Letchu Go by JD and I could totally tell it was his production before I read the credits in the booklet.
And as someone said earlier, you either hate her or love. And I definitely love her. But I am happy that this is a black person making a video without ass popping and everything else. I LOOOOVE this song and video. I went out and bought Janet’s CD after seeing it. This is the best dance song and video Janet has put out in a long time. The concept of this video is very european dance and it’s refreshing. A lot of the younger people won’t like it because it’s not like anything out right now. I like that Janet isn’t pandering to the teenage crowd and she’s taking risks artistically. Love it!
