Kanye West rocked the stage this weekend when he was a surprise guest performer at Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige’s “Heart of the City” tour kick off in Miami.
The popular rapper donned his gold and red Michael Jackson inspired jacket with a Gucci scarf and BAPE hat to top it off (R). He was first spotted rocking the same jacket two years ago at the The Brit Awards in London (L). Oh and don’t forget the white sneaks. When did he rock it better?
It’s equally ugly both times he rocked it in my opinion….

Look damn near the same to me, with the exception of the shoes being different and a different shirt. I do like the little chest hair out in the first pic though. I like the fit though.
Oddly enough I like the jacket. He rocked it both times 1 just looking more casual then the other. The jacket is bold enough to stand out but it makes a good statement. 2 thumbs up for Kanye.

I don’t understand… It’s the SAME LOOK BOTH TIMES. He’s wearing shades (of course) both times, a solid white shirt both times, and jeans of similar – if not the same, considering differences in color and resolution between photographers – wash and cut. A Gucci scarf – hanging out of one’s pocket, no less – does not constitute a change in sartorial message, in my opinion.
…and is the jacket really MICHAEL JACKSON-inspired, or would it be more accurate to say that it is military- or band-inspired, since Mike’s was as well?

Dear lord please do not compare Kayne’s jacket to the Beatles or Sgt. Pepper or anything connected to the greatest band on earth…and no, MJ is not connected with them in any way except his fantasies. Color of Kayne’s jacket is all wrong, the length is too short and there are not enough patches on it to even consider it a close alternative.
