Jazmine Sullivan has a new song out, titled “I Need You Bad,” produced by Missy Elliott. Sullivan, who is just 20 years old, was recently signed to J. Records right after singing her song “In Love With Another Man” in front of Clive Davis and a board of label executives. The Philly native has one of the most unique voices in the industry to date.
Ms. Sullivan has been in the industry for a while now – performing, writing and lending her beautiful voice on background vocals. But it’s now her time to shine, with an album on the way that will make the masses fall in love with music and true artistry again, with contributions from Salaam Remi and Missy Elliott.

For those who don’t know, Jazmine’s is a mixture of gospel artists such as Kim Burrell and Dorinda Clark Cole. I do understand why many of you would say that she sounds like Lauryn Hill, but if you go to her myspace page or youtube you will see that her sound is completely different on other songs. I believe this is what the industry needs is someone that can give you many styles of a song.

Im a hugh Jazmine Sullivan Fan….and definately fell in love with this song as soon as I heard it….But I am very worried… I hope J. records pushes her album… I find it odd, that she isn’t listed anywhere on the j. records website for general information nor does she have a official artist website of her own. Her main myspace page has little to no information, not even her music posted. Not to mention she doesn’t even have a release date public. Yet they have thrown her single to radio with little to no promotion…I hope this great song and artist don’t get over looked because of poor/slow promotion by the record company.
Yeah… I love Jazzy… I have been a big fan of hers since forever. She truely deserves to be in the music industry because I love that voice and when I hear her music is contains much need substance in the industry.she truely has an essence about her that is great musically.
I love this song. I wish I would have listened to it sooner. My west indian ass just wish the reggae beat would play throughout BUT overall the song is good and SHE CAN SING unlike her POPTART female counterparts. Love it!
