According to the NY Daily News, Beyonce may be retiring following the release of her upcoming LP:
The diva is currently working on a new album, but her cousin Angelica Knowles tells our source that it will be her last. Instead, Beyonce plans to spend her days scouting talent for new hubby Jay-Z’s upcoming label, The Carter Music Group.
Beyonce’s first protege is rumored to be an R&B artist named Chelsea Thomas. Her reps couldn’t be reached for comment. [source]

We told you about Bill Cosby’s upcoming hip-hop/jazz album a couple months ago and I just found out some new info on his new release.
The album entitled, “Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency” blends the comedian’s concepts and stories with a hip-hop, pop and jazz soundtrack will be released next month.
“I do not rap on any of these things,” Cosby told The Associated Press on Monday. “I wouldn’t know how to fix my mouth to say some of the words.”
Cosby said the hip-hop music he hears is profane and degrading. His album is “the opposite of what I think is the profanity for no particular reason, the misogyny for no particular reason,” he said. “It really looks at the frustration and the anger that a young man may have.”
The subject matter? “The value of an education. The value of respecting one’s self and … giving (listeners) a chance to raise their self-esteem and confidence,” Cosby said. [SOURCE]
The album, assembled by Cosby’s longtime musical collaborator Bill “Spaceman” Patterson, contains rhymes provided by guest rappers.
On Beyonce’s Supposed Retirement:
Her passion for music will not allow her to retire this soon, if we’re treating the definition of “retirement” as not creating another album or returning to the music industry period. She might “take a break”, if that’s even possible, and come back – but it probably won’t be for another ten years that she’ll seriously consider stepping back.
On Mariah’s Performance:
If anyone needs to retire, it’s her. She can’t perform live. That hand thing is getting old, and irritating, and the lyrics are too fast for her to sing live … AND she’s singing over voiceovers … (?) Obviously, she is talented and has an incredible voice, when perfecting it in the studio, but if you can no longer hold up your weight in front of an audience … throw in the towel.
On Bill Cosby:
I admire his courage and desire to help the black community. But sometimes he can come off as arrogant, and overlook all the good that has been occurring in society. I also don’t really know how or who this is going to help, because the people he’s targeting are probably not going to buy the album. Hey I am looking forward to that Bill Cosby album, maybe he will raise the standard for some of these other rappers. I am huge fan of rap music but I am becoming very disappointed with some of the messages that are being promoted, especially because I am of the younger generation and the messages are aimed towards us….Rappers need to truthfully raise the bar on their music…this degrading faze is played out…I think an album such as Bill’s will raise self esteem and promote a better agenda for the younger generation.
