WHAT? Forget Kanye and Alexis, Swizz and his wife was one couple that I thought was really down for the grind. They even have a business relationship which I thought was cute and commendable. Is anyone stayin together anymore? I think that married black couples really need to start attending marriage counseling. It’s not taboo anymore and it really does help and I think health care covers it but there are numerous community groups, including churches that offer it.

Im not surpised about Star Jones and her husband. He seemed like he was up to no good (certified gold digger and fame hog). I just didn’t feel like he really loved Star and she deserved more than that. I could be wrong….

I tell you why people can’t stay together. People are getting married for the wrong reasons. Either looks, money, fame, or guilt. Nobody really gets married for love anymore. So when the storms come they want to punk out and call it quits. Last time i checked, you’re suppose to be married with someone for the rest of your life. Not just during the good times. Trust me once you overcome those stormy days,weeks, months or even years together faithfully, you won’t let anything come between you three. God should be involved in a marriage if you truly want it to last.

It’s not just married people or celebs, but couples in general seem to be splitting up left and right in the black community. I don’t know what it is. But it’s very strange…almost like some type of curse or something. I’ve counseled 3 people this week regarding their relationships. And what’s even more ironic is both male and females alike, say the same exact thing, “I can’t find a good man/woman”. Something isn’t adding up.

And why do couples seem to split so fast right after they have a kid?

I KNOW she is not trying to blame the media for any bit of the dissolution of her marriage. Let’s recount:
1. You married one of the kids! You knew full good and well what Gal was up to!
2. You had a CORPORATE sponsored wedding and constantly, even when no one cared, talked about your impending nuptials on The View.
You craved the attention honey. The difference is that you’ve taken the blinders off and finally come to terms with what we all, including you, knew from the very start. We understand Star…honey, you just wanted a man. And I guess you figured just any man would do! Did you not learn anything from the Terry McMillian scandal? And where were your girls Vivica and Lisa Raye because somehow those two don’t come across as women who don’t offer up opinions. Jay Z and Beyonce are about as private as that ugly white couple from “The Hills” who parade around Hollywood blasting her crappy songs… If you look at their vacation pics (which are most of their candids…do you think it’s an accident that they are seemingly easier to catch doing these lavish, extraordinary things?) you’d see they’ve obviously dressed for the cameras… Do you need to get up and comb a huge wig, apply makeup, and a silk romper to sit in the middle of the Ocean on a yacht with your man? lol I think bikinis are the usual attire…

My theory (and I’m not saying this applies to Swizz and his wife) but I think some couple’s whose marriage is on the rock have a child hoping that the baby will tie them together forever and force them to work out their marriage. I’ve seen it so many times in real life situations. Never a good idea really because most of the time the child ends up being losing out the most (usually).
