I don’t know how many men have asked black women to dress properly. In 2008, we’re talking about 50 years since the initial cultural change to women dressing more provocatively for attention and vanity (and really to exalt the woman for the purposes of destroying the family unit). We’d have to go back to the late 1950’s and see what the black man’s reaction was to black women dressing that way to gauge it properly. The black man may foolishly give a half-naked woman excessive attention but he did not encourage or teach the black woman to do that initially. Despite whatever level of photoshopping going on, Stacey looks good for her age, heck she looks good for mine. But the truth of the matter is King is a T&A mag and when you go from an actress in a cult classic movie (and television spinoff) to booty popping for King, you are truly going downhill and grasping at the last straws of fame.

What I don’t like about things like this is that nearly all black men’s magazines have T&A all over the cover. Either that, or gangsta wanna be thug rappers. THIS is the image of what black men read, what black men like. The decent, intellectual black magazines are aimed at other issues and at the general, or educated or professional black community.

Work out, keep it tight, but the truth is when a lot of men see Stacey’s cover the thought is really about how many different ways they want to lay the pipe, not what a beautiful and talented woman she is.
