I never noticed her teeth in her videos. I’m really, really shocked about the hair comment considering short hair is so in right now. I don’t think it’s a tomboy style for her. I agree with the label, as sad as it is that looks make or break a career the reality of it is that most of the people who agree with Estelle probably wont buy her album (its excellent btw). In order to do well in the entertainment business you need to have a certain look, or at least look slightly attractive

I dont see whats so wrong about her getting her hair and teeth fixed, if someone was offering me a free hairdo and some new teeth i’d accept.

What is interesting is that Estelle has compromised some what….she never use to be in dresses and heels and her hair was way shorter…..They need to be careful. Its her look and it works for her. Personally, I like her music and couldn’t care two licks about what her teeth or hair look like. This is just the music industry’s way of making everyone look and sound the same. What type of stance would she really be making by not making the changes? She’s basically saying she doesn’t care to look better….Everyone knows (look at Rhianna,Cassie,etc. for example) that looks is a huge part of what makes an artist sucessful in the U.S.Talent usually is secondary.

On some real shit, she does need to get her teeth fixed. That change would make her look 100% better. As far as the hairstyle goes, I’m not understanding how it looks “tom boyish”. Unfortunately, I agree with the label. Not on the matter of her hair, but on the issue of her teeth. They are quite buck, but as we all know buck teeth don’t keep you from selling records.
