There is absolutely nothing wrong with her hair, it works well for her. It sets her apart. I will say that having worked in a doctor’s office, dental healthy is important. The doctor I interned with told me that lack of proper dental care is tied to heart disease, but it is her choice.

Image is everything when it comes to marketing. Talent takes a back seat to what the public can visually appreciate. How else would you explain Ashanti. She clearly is not that talented, but the package that they created with her looks, the music that was selected for her, etc. makes her a marketable product. Record companies will do as much as possible to protect their investment, as well as see a return on that investment.

I have to agree with her label execs. I seen her at a show her in Cleveland on Teusday at a small venue. I was in the front right by her and the first thing I noticed was her hair. It looked kind of dry and frizzy and her teeth are jacked up. It looked bad to me and I personally think it wouldn’t be a big deal for her to make those minor changes. At least she should fix the teeth, her hair really isn’t that bad. Just needs to get touched up with a flat iron and some oil. It doesn’t take away from her talent, because she did put on a good show and I will cop her album if she fixes her teeth or not.
