Our girl Tweet just released some new promotional photos via her myspace page and they came out dope. The southern hummingbird’s new album, “Love Tweet” is slated for a Summer ’08 release..
So with Love, Tweet , this acclaimed vocalist takes us back to Southern Hummingbird where her first hit was a risqué song about self-love. This love-based album, however, addresses a new plethora of love from an artist who has had her “eyes opened.” “Whether you fall in or out of love, the question of do I want to fall in love again,” Tweet addresses on her favorite song on the album, “Love Again.” It’s phenomenal,” she says, comparing it to Diana Ross’ “Do You Know…” but more sultry.
And then on the Novel-produced “Anymore,” she addresses the feelings after a break-up when you change and come to realize, “I don’t love you anymore.” [URBAN HOOPLA via BRE MAGAZINE]

Tweet is gorgeous, and even more so in person. I saw her in concert, and her looks and voice sounded just like the CDs. Got both of her albums and still play them out to this day!
This should be interesting. I really liked her first album. It’s really sad that good artists can’t shine like they are supposed to. But I think due to fact that she came out the same year with the Ashanti/Ja Rule she was not able to get the attention she deserves.

She is my FAVOOORIITE female artist but I don’t get how she allows herself to be basically sabotaged…What was up with Missy acting like an idiot on “Turn the Lights Off” and then 50 Cent on the remix talking crazy??? And, then the new song “My Dear” where TI sung more than her!!??!!! I love Tweet and I played “Southern Hummingbird” until someone took it away lol but I can’t get with the way she allows herself to be mangled…
It’s great to see Tweet getting madd love…I really do miss her and can’t wait for the new album…And yes I still do play both Southern Hummingbird and It’s Me Again on a regular basis. I can only imagine all of the politics and behind the scene sh*t that she may be going through as this album was supposed to be released on next Tuesday 8th April…but such is life. Whenever it drops, I’ma still support her regardless…she is one of the few true soul artist not in the game right now…gotta “Love, Tweet”.

with #57, well put…but like i said, I’m sure there is a lot more going on behind the scene that is beyond her control. I can only imagine…Hopefully, the next go round they (whomever that may be) will allow her to be true to her craft and express her true self–just like they allowed her to do on Southern Hummingbird.
(side note: I noticed that she took down all of her songs on her myspace page except “I’m Done” from It’s Me Again. I sure hope that she isn’t sending a subliminal message about how she feels about the music industry right now. I know it’s hard for the real talent to make it out here, but some of us are truly disenchanted with the state of music right now. I no longer look forward to new releases on Tuesdays anymore…Remember the 90′s??? )
