this type of euro-techno stuff is hitting american airwaves. for instance, dont stop the music by rihanna was not supposed to be released in the USA but only europe cause it was number 1 fuh a good set of weeks over there. it was really big in europe, but then the americans catched on to the song and from there dont stop the music was liked by the mainstream audience of america. it peaked number 3 on billboard hot 100. from that moment, dont stop the music was used on dancing with the stars this season and american idol’s idol give back event where the contestants opened the show with it.

i think chris is crossing over to the mainstream audience cause that is where the money and popularity are.

in addition, TIMBALAND feat. Keri hilson song is also euro techno, and that song was liked by mainstream audience too. LOVE IN THE CLUB by usher did okay.

I like the video. When Chis Brown first came out I thought he was only going to be hot for only a minute but he really seems to have staying power. The song has a more universal feel to it which is great for longevity.

Chris’ MJ impersonations have become so blantant. Its as if he doesnt even try to hide it. Probably because we let him get away with it. I for one will not stand for it.

The other male artists like Usher, Neyo, and Timberlake do it too. But Chris’ is soooooooo noticable its ridiculous.

First of all, who the eff is “Metro”? Never heard of that dude b4, and after watching the video, I see why. On a side note, I like the sample that was used, I think it’s an All Green old school song (correct me if i’m wrong) and I like Bobby V. It’s too bad he isn’t with DTP anymore, altho it might be better for his career as, realistically, DTP is a sinking ship anyway…the only artist doing big numbers on that label is Luda, obviously.

Chris Brown is smart for jumping on the euro-pop sound that is big right now…Janet, Ne Yo, Timbaland and Usher have all had singles recently that have been heavily synthesized, so it’s seems like it’s the direction r&b is heading in for ‘08…and really, don’t we all like a little bit of variety, instead of the same generic beats?

What I can’t co-sign is the whole re-releasing cds deal. I feel like it’s beginning to be too much, and it leaves the true fans @ a disadvantage. I already bought Chris’ cd back in November (mine is the deluxe version, with a dvd that had the ‘Wall 2 Wall’ and ‘Kiss Kiss’ videos), so why the heck am i gonna shell out more money to buy the re-release? I feel like, altho the cd sold relatively well, how much do they really think they are gonna sell the 2nd time around? Like why the heck is Fergie re-releasing her cd, when that ish came out like 2 years ago? Time/energy is better spent on a completely new project…now that my rant is over…

I love the chris brown video. The locations and the editing in the video is excellent. I like the fact that chris is starting to dress his age instead of wearing baggy clothes. The r&b war of the summer has begun already. Ne-Yo, Usher and Chris brown all have new singles, and videos out. We will see who sells the most this summer. The plies video is good only because of Ne-Yo. I like Plies but I don’t think his degrading lyrics belong in an r&b song.
