Defending champion Serena Williams celebrates with the trophy after defeating Jelena Jankovic of Serbia to win the women’s singles final on day thirteen of the Sony Ericsson Open on Saturday in Key Biscayne, Florida. This is Serena’s 5th win for Sony and her 29th career title.
Jelena Jankovic, had only nice things to say about Serena after coming in 2nd:
“Just amazing power,” Jankovic said. “I cannot match up against her. Just too much power for me to handle, especially on a good day where she’s playing well. I need to improve some things, but I will never be like that.” [source]

Wow, Kareem, I mean Serena got girls vexed because of her big “powerful” arms. That is so funny she said she can’t match up to Serena’s power, she should never make herself look weak like that. That was a terrific game. Serena started wilding out towards the end and smashed her damn racquet on the ground and then threw the shit up against a wall. That racquet was bent the hell up after she banged it on the ground. She was heated becuz she hit the ball out of bound or some shit. Anyway, it was hilarious. They gave her a warning but five minutes later she won the match. I was happy for her and was a lil surprised that she lost her cool like that, but it was definitely entertaining. She made the serbian gurl fell to her knees while trying to hit one of those 80mph balls. The serbian gurl played a decent game…. but she definitely was no match for Serena.
That’s why I love serena…she be on her shit!

As far as Jelana Jankovic goes. She needs to stop the madness. Serena whooped her fair and square. It had nothing to do with “the power” of Serena Williams. Serena is a powerful player but she also has THE GAME to win these major titles. People would like you to believe that Venus and Serena Williams just smash their way around the court and win solely because of sheer strength. NEWS FLASH: They dont have a combined 14 major titles between them with just STRENGTH. They are excellent shot makers and know how to construct points beautifully.
So Jelena as much as you want to believe Serena’s strength is what beat you it was just shes a better player then you all around. You sure wasnt claiming “Oh her strength” when you beat her the last three times yall met.

The match was topsy tervy, Rena really should have won in 2 sets but let it slip in a big way, glad she had 3 breaks in the 3rd set she really couldm’t even win after having 6 mtach points, had she not taken it on Jankovic serve i don’t think she would have won, after getting to 5-0 she didn’t hold serve until she broken to win at 5-3 .
The best match had to be against Justine Henin if anyone follow tennis they will know in 3 slam Henin beat Serena in all 3 quarter of the slams so this was pay back and beating her 6-2, 6-0 is sweet and she was just sublime. Serena will never play she she did 02- to early 04 but she sure if doing well this year, i’m a big fan

I think so too, she need to tone her body down a little bit. Her upper body is too big and looks VERY MANLY.
The only thing Serena needs to do is to keep winning. There’s nothin’ wrong with how she looks, and on top of the that, she’s a professional athlete not a runway model.
