Michelle Williams was looking fierce on the set of her new music video on Wednesday. The singer premiered her song “We Break The Dawn” a few weeks back to great reviews and now she is definitely stepping it up for this video. Michelle’s new album Unexpected, is due out in August.

I agree w/ the comment about Kelly and Michelle having virtually the same sound. Why are people vibing on Michelle and not Kelly?! I think the thing that hurts Kelly is that everyone sees more of a comparison w/ Kelly and Beyonce than Michelle. Michelle never got a chance to do much of anything, so to see her do anything at all makes it exciting.
But I do agree, Michelle’s sound is not better than Kelly. I think we should support both of these women. Let’s not forget that not everyone supports Beyonce because of her songs, cause most of her B-Day was whack, but because of who she is…lets do the same for these ladies.

The song is a pretty good summer spring song.
I don’t think Kelly & Michelle have the same sound. I think Kelly has a better voice than Michelle but I think she has been marketed as a Bey knockoff and Michelle has always kinda stood in the background not competing with anyone but herself. And it’s a helluva lot easier to compete against yourself rather than compete with the Knowles machine.
in all honesty all im a big fan of dc but kelly is my favorite!! We Break the Dawn and Daylight are about the same exact thing-clubing and having a good nite out until the early morning hours hence the name break the dawn and it u clearly listen to kelly’s song DAYLIGHT its the exact same message-stayin up til the early morn!!!!! DUh – same concept different artists. i like both songs and will support both ladies but kelly is still my girl!!!
I like this song and I agree that I loved Kelly’s also so I really don’t see the difference in song but I see the difference in people. II think Kelly spends too much time talking about mathew, tina, and beyonce knowles instead of promoting her stuff. Michelle although a DC member, she kinda seperates herself to still remind people tht she can also be an individual artist and I think that’s what makes people vibe to her a little more than Kelly. I donno that’s what I seem to get from people and their comments but both ladies are talented.
I like to song, love the hair. I think she is really getting ready to do big things on her own this time …for real.

I love DC period, but I will say that Kelly has always been my least
favorite…she’s generic. She’s very pretty, and she has a nice voice,
she dresses cute…but here’s the thing. She doesn’t have an “it” factor
She has literally no “her over any other girl in the game”– If people didn’t
know her from Destiny’s child she’d be another Cheri Dennis or Tyra
(the singer not the model).She chooses to do very conventional things
in her styling and she has wack songs….I am sorry they are. They all
seem lukewarm at best. If you want to be an international superstar in
your own right…do NOT do songs with people who aren’t really on the
come up (Trina). Michelle on the other hand did go and do something
different. She took a different route,got different fans, had and different
persona (in gospel she got to speak for herself and not as a group).
This time around she’s doing something different FOR HER and she
looks great. Michelle isn’t as conventionally pretty as Kelly but
because she’s always been so subdued, it’s exciting to see her looking
so fierce and agressive. We will see if that excitement last. I hope so.
I wish all the girls well.
And for the record… I loved Bday. I think alot of people missed
the style. It was supposed to be brash, kitchy and sexy and funky.
It was a throwback to Lynn Collins, big background bands, the brass
section with alot of horns, heavy drums over the top lyrics and overt and
divafied sexuality. It was a concept…and apparently ya’ll missed.
The Get Me Bodied video was a prime example of that….

16 ON THE UK AIRPLAY AND THE SONG WONT EVEN BE RELEASED TILL 4/28. IT WAS 78 last week and JUMPED 70 POSITIONS SO ID SAY DAYLIGHT IS DOIN OK ON THE CHARTS
I like this song. I know that at least where I live, they will be playin this in the clubs all the time. I like her voice. It’s very unique and she is just bein herself. I wish her the best.
The video looks like it’s going to be PURE FIYAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait for it.
I’m curious to see how the video will turn out. I wonder if she will do any choreography. I’m actually liking the song more now. It sounds really good when the volume is on blast. It would be smart if her label has this song used in a commercial with a popular product. I think this could be a big hit if they go that route.

I believe that Michelle was the one in the group who always got over looked. She just kinda faded away in the background. Im not in love with the song but it sounds pretty good. I really want Michelle to do good. I mean as far as the gospel albums and the broadway thing she was putting it down. I just hope she can be successful in the R&B area. And is it me or has anyone else noticed how whenever Michelle and Kelly are not next to Beyonce’ they look so much better. I think it has been a set up all those years. Beyonce always got the better outfits, and hairstyles, its like she had to be the star in the group, but hopefully Michelle will get her shine on this summer!!!!
