Bobby Brown has claimed his relationship with Whitney Houston drove him into a nightmare of drug addiction.
In his upcoming autobiography, Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But, the singer — who was married to Whitney from 1992 to 2006 — tells all on his relationship with the superstar singer.
He writes: “I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice,” Brown writes in “Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But,” out next month. “At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine.”
As far as his 15-year marriage to Houston is concerned, it “was doomed from the very beginning. Within the first year we separated, with several more to follow,” Brown writes. “I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married . . . I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children.” [SOURCE : NY POST]
Whitney Houston released a statement via People.com in response to the accusations.
“Miss Houston is sad that Bobby feels he need to say such things but she choses to take the high road and will not speak badly about the father of her child even if it’s to set the record straight.” [SOURCE]

It seems like the people believing Bobby are those desperate women who want any man they see, just to get a man. Don’t ask me how I know, I just do. Alot of girls are attracted to bad boys. I have no reason not to believe what this man is saying. In fact, I think he is being reserved in his allegations toward Whitney. It is reported that Whitney was intensely involved in a lesbian relationship. This relationship threatened to destroy her career. Her marriage to Bobby was an attempt to deflect rumors of her alleged lesbian romance. Throughout their marriage, rumors circulated that Whitney constantly had sexual relationships with other women. The marriage was a sham…a fake…all in effort to clean up her image.

In reference to YOMONEY’s comments, Bobby might have been from the projects of Roxbury Massachusetts but he had been a part of the music industry’s sex and drugs scene nearly 10 years before he met and married Whitney. So, trust when I say that Bobby was doing more than marijuana before he met Ms. Houston. It was well publicized in the 80′s that Bobby had a drug problem and that he came from a family of drug abusers AND dealers. Bobby had 2 brother-in-laws (his sisters’ husbands) who were drug dealers and both are now dead. In 1994 or 1995, one of them actually was shot execution style in Boston while he and Bobby sat in Whitney’s STOLEN Bentley. The gunman tried to kill Bobby but he used his dead brother-in-law’s body to shield the bullets that were being aimed at him.
Yes, Whitney was no angel but she still had class and knew how to conduct herself in public. Bobby was a partier who loved to smoke his weed and sleep with as many women as he could. Many times women are intrigued by men who are edgy and wild a.k.a.. “Bad Boys” or “Thugs”and these characteristics are what truly turned her on…..and, the fact that he was known for laying down the pipe.

Bobby and Whitney have always been thugs, she was just better at hiding it publicly, but we finally got to see her real self in “Being Bobby Brown”. She asked Bobby to reach into her behind and pull out a chunk of s**t for cying out loud. That wasn’t Bobby, that was her.
I don’t feel sympathy for either of them because they both ruined their bright careers. Whintey’s career has been dead since 1997 and Bobby’s has been dead since 1993 or 1996 when he made that comeback album with New Edition. Now that they’ve split up, which I think is best for both of them, they will no longer enable each other in their drug habits. Hopefully they can pull their careers back off the ground. But then again, it might be harder for Bobby because even though he more or less can still sing like before (though not quite as good), there is a lot of public animus against him because people irrationally blame him for Whitney’s downfall to avoid dealing with the hard truth, like Bobby Brown fans have to, that she pulled her own career down and threw it away. Besides, Whitney was 5 or 6 years older than Bobby. She was an adult when he was still singing teeny bop songs with New Edition pre-1986. It’s not quite the same age gap but it was a 90′s version of a Demi Moore-Ashton Kutcher marriage. Whitney seemed to be running things behind the scenes as we saw on “Being Bobby Brown”.
