Usher recently sat down with Parlour Magazine and chatted about his upcoming album, his family and those damn haters! He also explains how “Love In This Club” fits into his new grown man music equation. Peep a snippet below:
On how marriage and fatherhood has affected his music…
“This album, to me, is a staple in time. I like to make music about where I am, but I also try to make records that will be like soundtracks to life. So that people will be able to relate to them, maybe one day grow from them, learn, love from ‘em. This one particularly is more special than all of the others. I know it sounds cliché to say that! But honestly it’s the pivotal moment for me as an artist, as well as a husband in a way, and a father. These are all new journeys for me, the most meaningful, because they’re the most rewarding.”On how “Love in the Club” fits into this new “growth”…
“Love in This Club” is the position that I was in about two years ago and as a result of having that record, there’s a series of events that will happen.”When asked to give final words, he responded….

Fans of Mya will have to wait a little longer to see her take the stage on Broadway. Mya was ready to start in the show starting May 12 but now that has been postponed until Mya recovers from recently breaking her foot. Barry Weissler, producer of Chicago, said in the statement,
“In the theatre industry, we are sometimes forced to deal with circumstances beyond our control. But speaking for the entire Chicago creative team, we all wish her a speedy recovery, and look forward to experiencing her portrayal of Velma Kelly as soon as possible.”

In the petition, Linda Williams claims that 16-year-old son Damon Dash II, aka “Boogie,” says he was “living with not hot water [sic] or electricity for two months in his bedroom,” and that Damon took him to the morgue to ID an uncle who committed suicide by gunshot to the head. You all keep saying Dames sons mother is getting a fat child support check but you all don’t know that Boogie LIVES WITH DAME, she isn’t getting shit. She has every right to complain, Dame won custody on the basis that he could provide better for Boogie than she could. He said that he could send him to school in limos and she couldn’t and he’s worried about his son being kidnapped which is why Boogie needed a limo(according to Dame). So for her to complain she has every right, he used his money to win custody to get out of paying child support and now he doesn’t want to take care of the damn boy.
