Okay, most of you know how I do. I usually don’t mention these crazy-ass web rumors anymore, especially when it’s concerning one of my favorite celeb couples to post about, Kanye & Alexis! But since we’ve been getting emails out the ass asking about what’s going on, I decided to post this up.
Jawn Murray of AOL Black Voices is claiming that the couple called it quits recently and the engagement is off. Say it ain’t so!
Sources close to the hip-hop star tell me that it was West who ended the engagement after revealing to Phifer: “I just don’t think it is going to work out anymore.” The 30-year-old entertainer even asked for his ring back!
The often-controversial rapper/producer got engaged to Phifer while overseas in the fall of 2006. The two met when Phifer worked as the assistant to West’s fulltime wardrobe stylist. [ READ MORE ]

KANYE TALKING ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP W/ ALEXIS (SEPT. ’07)
Angel: So let me get to another question. You know about you and Alexis. Getting a lot of buzz, everybody wants to get more information about you guys now. So did you set a wedding date yet?
Kanye: We still working on that, but as soon as I set it, I’m not gon tell nobody. I’m like not going to tell anybody when I get married, because it’s not anything that I’m doing for publicity. You know it’s a real life thing, and it just so happen to be under the microscope because people take pictures of us everywhere. You know, it’s not a thing that I’m doing to promote anything, that’s really our thing.
Angel: Okay. So her new line was just featured a couple of weeks back during Fashion Week, do you guys collab like on fashion items? Since you’re working on your line as well.
Kanye: I be begging her to like help me with something [he says smiling]. The most she will do is like, “Tell me, give me some advice, I like that.”
Angel: [laughs]
Kanye: “I don’t like that.” But with her line, she will finish up the whole line and have it out before I even see anything. But I really liked her last line, I mean I like all her clothes, but this last line, I think she has reached a new level. I think since we were around each other, creatively we both pushed the envelope to a whole new level. [Her line] Looks like a reflection visually of what I did sonically on Graduation.
Angel: Oh that’s hot.
Kanye: ……Like when I came out the gate, I was with Lex, you know when I first dropped The College Dropout.
Angel: Oh okay.
Kanye: And that’s like the person that you got and now I’m with her again and I think it’s a real testament to every good man has a great woman by his side.
Angel: Un huh.
Kanye: Because, now I’m with her again and people like me again.
Angel: Can’t hate on that.
As most of you noticed, Alexis made a solo appearance at Cassie’s party on Thursday night and she wasn’t rocking a ring.

He may just need some time to grieve and heal… losing your mother [especially so unexpectedly] makes you looks at everything from a different perspective.

I do agree that times are probably hard for them both due to the recent death of Kanye’s mother. But Alexis will have to step in and be strong during Kanye’s mourning and build him up. She may even have to put some of her projects on the back burner to be more committed to supporting and keeping her man up.

The really sad thing about these women who are nothing more than beards is that they don’t even realize it. I think that is why most DL men use models cause they are too stupid to see the obvious. John Legend is on his 4th model. His lastest one has lasted the longest. I think she is clueless. His shortest relationship was with the only black one, Jessica White. I think because she actually had a decent career before meeting John, she didn’t need work as his beard so she got the hell on.

I could never marry a rapper, it would be impossible. i couldn’t subject myself to that kind of pain- the constant cheating and womanizing. As much as I think Alexis was good for Kanye, I dont think he is ready for marriage- he’s probably a player who screws around with video models etc.

Just joking, I really hope this isn’t true they seemed like a lovely couple. I do know that losing someone close to you can put you thru changes and change your whole perspective. I know he wrote on his blog that he doesn’t do things for money anymore he just does what he loves and that his mother always taught him to enjoy life. Personally, I broke up with a long-term girlfriend after loosing a close friend unexpectedly . After you experience something that tragic, you start reflecting on what’s really important in life and need space. Kanye quote that other day that after his mother passed away he started living his life using these three rules. (1) Enjoy Life (2) Never Do anything that you DO NOT Love (3) pursue happiness. So, regardless of what we may think as eyes looking into their relationship, they may NOT be soul mates.
Glad he has came to his right mind. Now my plan is almost complete!!!! Can not wait until May 4th comes and I am at his concert!! LOL
