Okay, most of you know how I do. I usually don’t mention these crazy-ass web rumors anymore, especially when it’s concerning one of my favorite celeb couples to post about, Kanye & Alexis! But since we’ve been getting emails out the ass asking about what’s going on, I decided to post this up.
Jawn Murray of AOL Black Voices is claiming that the couple called it quits recently and the engagement is off. Say it ain’t so!
Sources close to the hip-hop star tell me that it was West who ended the engagement after revealing to Phifer: “I just don’t think it is going to work out anymore.” The 30-year-old entertainer even asked for his ring back!
The often-controversial rapper/producer got engaged to Phifer while overseas in the fall of 2006. The two met when Phifer worked as the assistant to West’s fulltime wardrobe stylist. [ READ MORE ]

KANYE TALKING ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP W/ ALEXIS (SEPT. ’07)
Angel: So let me get to another question. You know about you and Alexis. Getting a lot of buzz, everybody wants to get more information about you guys now. So did you set a wedding date yet?
Kanye: We still working on that, but as soon as I set it, I’m not gon tell nobody. I’m like not going to tell anybody when I get married, because it’s not anything that I’m doing for publicity. You know it’s a real life thing, and it just so happen to be under the microscope because people take pictures of us everywhere. You know, it’s not a thing that I’m doing to promote anything, that’s really our thing.
Angel: Okay. So her new line was just featured a couple of weeks back during Fashion Week, do you guys collab like on fashion items? Since you’re working on your line as well.
Kanye: I be begging her to like help me with something [he says smiling]. The most she will do is like, “Tell me, give me some advice, I like that.”
Angel: [laughs]
Kanye: “I don’t like that.” But with her line, she will finish up the whole line and have it out before I even see anything. But I really liked her last line, I mean I like all her clothes, but this last line, I think she has reached a new level. I think since we were around each other, creatively we both pushed the envelope to a whole new level. [Her line] Looks like a reflection visually of what I did sonically on Graduation.
Angel: Oh that’s hot.
Kanye: ……Like when I came out the gate, I was with Lex, you know when I first dropped The College Dropout.
Angel: Oh okay.
Kanye: And that’s like the person that you got and now I’m with her again and I think it’s a real testament to every good man has a great woman by his side.
Angel: Un huh.
Kanye: Because, now I’m with her again and people like me again.
Angel: Can’t hate on that.
As most of you noticed, Alexis made a solo appearance at Cassie’s party on Thursday night and she wasn’t rocking a ring.

What da #$%&! Im more surprised that he asked for his ring back then the announcement of the breakup.
There should be a rule in every girls handbook that says somewhere underneath the after the engagement is off clause that says…………Never, never, never, never give the ring back if it doesnt work out. Hello!!! Were not in highschool anymore. Whenever a man gives his woman that ring or any ring is bcuz shes earned it.
Im a firm believer in that. Hope she didnt give it back.

seeign that she went to that Vogue event by herself and was photographed with no rign on and eh hasn’t really said much about her on his blog “something in the milk might not be clean” they were actually a more down to earth cpl than beyonjay

I really hope this is not true, becuase they seemed like a really dope couple that complimented each other well. Especially after everything that Kanye has endured over the last year, Alexis seemed like a good support system for Kanye. However, kanye can holla at me anyday of the week, I am AVAILABLE kanyeeze! lol.

I’ll have to take your word for it,but I always felt like John Legend was one of the most unattractive guys(next to Kayne and Jay-Z). He looks much older too.

It’s official…no longer a rumor…Alexis told People that they split… I’m glad they did, actually…she was obviously way into fame…I think his next relationship will be something to see…
That’s messed up…I could have SWORE I JUST saw him wearing a wedding ring when he was helping out with his stage concepts…now they are broken up. That’s ashame.
