Having Angela Bassett as one of the lead roles is a GREAT look for this film. It’ll definitely boost the ratings along with the heavy anticipation of the film!

I’m not sure I agree with all of the casting in this movie so I am going to lean towards, the actors, make up team, director, and producer to make this one a hit. I will stay tuned…

Angela Bassett and Derek Luke are great actors. I love the career path of Derek Luke and I admire the fact that he loves portraying real-life people in his movies such as “Catch A Fire,” and “Antwone Fisher.”

I’m looking forward to seeing this movie whether its in the movie theater or straight to DVD.

ok, I was skeptical @ first, but Derek and Angela r wonderful actors and they may just give the movie the star power that it needs. They also do a great job @ portraying real life characters, I can just hear Angela with Volleta’s West Indian accent now. lookin forward to it…

In my opinion, its kinda crazy that there is movie coming out portraying Biggie’s life b/c he still seems so relevant in music and doesn’t seem like he’s been dead for over 10 years. To #9 maybe you don’t know too much about rap music or you aren’t well versed about Big’s contribution and influence to music. There isn’t one rapper who can say Biggie didn’t influence them, he was the one that was able to paint a picture with every song and no one can deny his talent….One the greatest rappers ever!!!

I think the movie will be alright, but I would have thought the 2pac deserved a movie before biggie. in my opinion he was more legendary. Hope to see a pac movie one day. It has to be be really thug and grit, because pac was off the hook. thats still my man!!!!

Dang CP, you get the goods quick, hats off! I’m only going to this movie to see Angela. I’ve always been more of a Tupac fan. Angie with that accent is going to be fire, but it looks like they are trying to make her matronly. Did Voletta really dress like that?

I think that it’s too soon to make a movie like this…but I guess the filmmakers don’t agree. I don’t see the big deal…don’t we already know everything about Biggie’s life considering most of these folks are still alive? Now the Juice Crew movie makes more sense to me since they started 20 years ago….but I’d really like to see a movie with black folks that doesn’t include music or a crazy/loud/ghetto family….
Interesting too that Biggie’s legacy ends up in a movie…but Tupac has an arts and entertainment center and charitable foundation (I believe Biggie has a foundation also) I think that speaks a lot to the difference in the two artists…ultimately Tupac’s center will have a lot more impact and for longer than a Biggie movie….

Derek and Angela ARE credible actors but I just get a weird B movie feeling about this… It’s weird because everyone else has had a biopic, why not BIG but I just don’t know… Angela’s had one flop with Tyler Perry’s latest movie…so…

I too was not a Biggie fan as much as I am a Pac fan. i’d rather see his movie first. As far as this one goes I will wait for the feedback. I liked Pac’s music more even today.

Derek Luke is such a cutie and seems to be a sweetheart…. his wife is lucky.

When I read that Angela was in this my ticket was already bought. This whole movie could suck, but I have faith in Angela and will be in attendance reguardless. I already know she will play her part to the fullest. She’s the real deal.

I see you based it on physical resembles. but angela got that voice that will carry Voletta’s emotions..just How GRAVY got alil bit of biggies swag. I just hope he can capture his wittyness… its one thing to be the BIG we know on the scene but only a few people know how he acted when he was just chillin. I think this is gonna be a gret movie…maybe not RAY status..but who can said that now….just wait and see.
