Seems like the fourth of July already with so many stars in one post doesn’t it? Well that was the goal of designers for Spring 2008, making a huge trend of star patterns and prints. It was especially seen all over Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent‘s fashion shows. Actress Zoe Saldana even stepped out with the trend, wearing a cute YSL dress with the collar adorned in colorful stars.

This is an interesting trend… Looks very Rainbow Bright – ish. But it looks like something fun to try, so I will def get one or two star pieces to add to my collection.
that playsuit has been sold out for some weeks now (at elast when i checked it, it was sold out but they might have restocked) so for anyone thinking about getting that, you can’t
anyway i’m not a huge fan of this but riri actually wore one in “shut up and drive”. that’s the first time she’s rocked something before most other ppl so i applaud her for that. it was the cutest star dress i’ve seen but i can’t find it anyway. i think the skirt, romper, and sandals are cute. the rest is ehh
oh i forgot to add that kate moss was also one fo the first ppl to rock the trend and though she looked good in a maxi starry dress (i think she wore the one-piece pantsuit once too), i don’t recommend it for the masses
Love the white sandals w/ the stars all over them! I will be coping those! I’ll pass on the star-filled gear tho’…
the majority of the pieces are hot! but i know people are going to make the mistake of rocking it a little too much at once (i.e. tights wth stars, shirt with stars, star earings, star sandals, star belt) and theyre going to end up looking like a walking flag. Less is more with this trend.
Definitely seeing myself in those tights, that tank, and that scarf.. all on different occasions that is. Love it.
I am feeling the YSL sandals and the TOPSHOP blazer. The playsuit is kinda cute too.
I’m not in love with the clothing at all. But the shoes and accessories are HOTT *goes to order the star necklace*

now on to these stars…u know it makes total sense since we’re apparently going to run the 80s into the ground…again, lol…so when i look at it like that the emerging starts trend is kind of logical. let me ponder what other 80s trend hasn’t been reborn/exploited and i’ll report back.

to “Buffy”, late in comparison to who, what or where?…i was just at the club (the park in dc) friday and didn’t see anybody in stars…are the malls full of starred clothes and i just missed it? i flipped through every May ’08 beauty rag at the shop yesterday and didn’t see nothing on stars. i question your comment and motive.

Google it and I’m sure you’ll not only find excerpts from fashion rags but also posts on the subject from other famous fashion blogs. There were no ulterior motives, trust me.
buffy is right. this is late. like mentioned before ppl like kate moss to riri have rocked it months ago. the thing is, it seems like a trend going on in europe, specifically london, more so than america so many ppl might not have seen it already. but yeah many fashion mags have already done features on it either a month or two ago. i remember being confused as to whether i like it or not
KAY KAY Im sorry sweety and I love Tianna but this trend is old. It has been in various magazines and fashion blogs for months! She has a talent for scouring REAL fashion blogs and bringing it to this site! Which is a good thing but this trend is a little old now! As far as us fashion groupies go. But I guess those who only frequent Gossip blogs and not other ones this is new news!

I like the leggins, and the jumper..and the scarf isn’t too bad..but some of that stuff looks a little juvenile…i was wearing stars in middle school…very 1995-ish…I guess we can expect people to start wearing ‘smiley-face’ and ‘peace’ sign sh*t again pretty soon…
