Here’s new music from Chilli of TLC fame. The new song, “Dumb Dumb Dumb,” was produced by Atlanta-based production group, Battery 5. For a while, there were rumors of Chilli signing a deal with Akon on his Konvict Music label, and now, apparently, Chilli is working on a deal with Epic Records, whom Brandy recently signed with. I love the production on “Dumb Dumb Dumb,” but I don’t know how I feel about Chilli as a solo artist. What do you think? Does she have what it takes?

I’m sorry. But. Gold braids? I swear, when I saw the promo picture, I was really just – all I could do was laugh. And then it was followed by a song titled, “Hair Braider.” As many of you know, I really always have my reservations before listening to R. Kelly songs. In any event, the new song is from R. Kelly’s new album, due out this summer. I really felt like we just got Double Up a couple of months ago, but apparently, he felt like it was time to give his fans another taste. I’m thinking that he’s going to start appearing on every major remix again.
Raven-Symone – In the Pictures (full) – listen
Raven takes a stab at her very own acoustic track. Within the last year, we’ve heard “Irreplaceable,” Rihanna’s “Good Girl Gone Bad,” Jordin Sparks’ “Tattoo,” and Chris Brown’s “With You.” And let’s not forget Michelle’s “Stop This Car,” which will be featured on her new album. I guess now that Raven is supposedly working on a new album, they decided to hook her up with Stargate to see what they could come up with. I don’t love it, I don’t hate it. It’s just sort of – there. It seems as though, really, you just can’t go wrong with these acoustic-inspired tracks.
Cherish feat. Jermaine Dupri & Kid Slim – Killa (Remix) (full) – listen
Of course, there’s a So So Def Remix for Cherish’s song, “Killa,” which appears on the Step Up 2 soundtrack, and also on their sophomore album, The Truth, which is due out in stores too. It took a minute for “Killa” to grow on me, but the more I heard it and when the video came out, I was sold on the song. The thing I actually like about Cherish is that the girls really can sing. Even though I’m not fond on the remix, I definitely am in love with the second single from the album, “Amnesia,” which we’ve posted in our new music review before.

Well let’s see Chili’s song is kind of catchy, R Kelly’s song has a nice beat but his voice sounds like it’s been digitized, Raven’s song will do well on pop but not on r&b charts, and last but not least Cherish; let’s just say stick to the original.

i like chilli’s song it was hella catchy the rest get thumbs down. R.kelly is takin the Dream and T. Pain route wit the falsetto and robotic vocals, he’s really reaching.

Cherish: The remix is suppose to be BETTER than the original. That didn’t happen with this song. Remix is weak at best. Please ladies.. someone cut their hair and color it in this group… so it won’t be like a group full of the same DAMN woman.
RKelly: Musically this man is hitting a plateau. He is now trying to keep up with T pain… which should not be his goal. He is the veteran. He should be moving past what is out now. I am dissappointed. The new look is not new.. it is just a head of weave and paint.
Raven: This song would be really pretty if someone else was singing it. Raven is very colorless when she sings. Nasal. Boring. She is rich enough to waste money singing aimless songs. I give it to her…she keep trying.. God bless her millionaire heart.

If the tables were turned, how would you feel he had sex and pissed on your 14 year old daughter or sister? Would you still admire him? Would you still buy his music? Would you still defend him? People need to stop making excuses for these celebs and keep it real. If the average joe had done the same thing, everybody in here would want to beat the living daylights out of him. Now that it’s some one you like, made one of your favorite songs, had crush on, it’s a different story. Why defend this man when his own wife left him because of this? @56 it makes them hypocrites and it takes away the potency of their message, which could make some lose faith, so what they do behind close doors does matter if they call themselves leaders of the faith.
and to answer your question most of his CDs if not all are not groundbreaking. he always have the same water drop sound in almost all of his songs. He’s should just continue to write songs for other people, he’s better at doing that………Just My2Cents

PERFECT DESCRIPTION! I swear I never understood why I preferred Ciara, Rihanna, or even cassie compared to Raven….but your point explains it all. Those singers can put some sort of stamp on what they sing, even if they arent the most talented singers. Raven just sounds really flat to me. However, with all them wack ass white disney broads having recording contracts (Ashley tisdale, Hilary duff, Vanessa hudgens) I cant hate too hard.
If she sticks with the pop crowd she should be ok with the tweens.

Chilli’s song seems to be inspired by her past relationship with Usher and how she feel about his wife. We know she don’t really care for his wife and she still trying to be friends with him and his mother. I don’t think she has moved on emotionally yet. Girl Usher is not all that. I know the pickings are slim in ATL as far as men are concerned, but Usher is not all that.
