♫ Solange Knowles - I Decided (Remix) (snippet) - listen
Surprisingly, people are find that Solange is really taking it there for the new album, SoL-Angel & the Hadley Street Dreams. She said she was going for a mixture of 60’s and 70’s soul with electronica, and this new remix of “I Decided,” by the Free Masons, who are infamous for doing dance records, is just that. I’m actually very excited about Solange’s album. She is really bringing something different to the table. I think it’ll be a good year for her and Michelle.

Slim of 112 has been working on some solo material for quite some time, and here is a fruit of that labor. “So Fly” is supposedly Slim’s new single. He’s been doing some shows in the Atlanta area. The new song features Yung Joc, who had a pretty good coming out with his sophomore album. Even though the song is cool, it feels a little dated to me. I’m not sure where I could see this fitting into mainstream radio.

When I first heard the song, I didn’t think it was Foxy. I mean, it sounds like her, but it doesn’t. The flow is the same but there’s definitely something different about the voice. I think it may just be that the tone is a little higher than what I’m used to. I think that Foxy needs to go on and hurry up1 I’m not exactly positive about what’s going on with the album - but Foxy is out! Her fans have been waiting.

♫ Janet Jackson - Can’t B Good (full) - listen
Janet preps the third single from her 10th studio album, Discipline. “Can’t B Good” is one of the few ballads on the album that I really liked. It sounds a little closer to something that her brother has done, but it also takes me back to the sounds of the ballads on Janet’s previous records. I’m not sure where the decision for this song for the third single came into play, but I’m wondering what the video will look like.

Solange song is hot in its own way but I don;t like any of the other songs in her myspace. Slim song is a 5 out of 10, I still love his boice though. And I miss deep voice foxy.

I can tell you why people tell Mariah to act her age in VISUAL terms….

Janet does the “sexy” thing for photo shoots, for marketing a product, Mariah looks like a 17 year old slut no matter WHEN you see her. The only time you see Janet looking provocative is when you see a magazine layout, which, to me means that she knows when to turn it on and off… I’ve seen Mariah in a red and white CHRISTMAS skirt with her breast hanging out of a barely there top singing Christmas songs.

Count the number of times you’ve seen Mariah in public not looking like a street walker versus the number of times you’ve seen Janet - and that’s how many times I’d like to tell you to shut da fukk up! LOL

i love janet and everything she does..but i’m not sure where this song as a single comes into play either..i was thinking she’d go more fun like “luv” or if she was gonna slow it down maybe “curtains” but i didnt see this one coming..!!! but ‘Curtains’ would have definatly been my choice for the next single..cause there’s so much she could do with a video for that.. lol!!
