♫ Ciara – Supernatural (snippet) – listen
A new Ciara snippet has leaked from her upcoming album, Fantasy Ride. Even though the first single is supposedly called “High Price,” and features Ludacris, who made an appearance of Ciara’s first album, 2004′s Goodies, “Supernatural” leaked earlier today. From what I can tell of the snippet, “Supernatural” is a mid-tempo track that finds Ciara pretty much in the same place vocally as on Evolution. Although it’s nothing groundbreaking or Earth-shattering, I’m hoping that Ciara puts out a good product this time around.

I really wanted good things for Sterling Simms – after hearing on “Dig A Hole” on Jay-Z’s Kingdom Come, and even though I hated his first single, “Jump Off,” featuring Sean Paul of the Youngbloodz, I loved his second single, “Nasty Girl,” but it didn’t do to well on radio or on the charts. And after more material leaked, I didn’t see any hints of cohesion on Sterling’s album. I think he just sort of got lost in translation. Shame, too, ’cause we need some dudes to hit hard in R&B.

You may remember last year, we did an artist spotlight on the group Thunderkatz, who recently were signed to Irv Gotti’s The Inc. label. The group, which is actually a band (many people have made comparisons to The Blackeyed Peas, however, the Thunderkatz actually play instruments), is gearing up to release their album soon and will have a single hitting the airwaves within the coming months. I’m eager to see what they came up with.

Mariah has set “Love Story” to the third single from her album, E=MC². The video is being shot soon, and features Nick Cannon, who is also in the video for her scond single, “Bye Bye.” It looks like she’s going for a story the same way she did on Mimi with “It’s Like That” and “We Belong Together.” Fair enough too, because to me, this Jermaine Dupri-produced track sounds like “We Belong Together” part 7. I’m not mad at Mimi, though. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I don’t like Ciara’s song. Michelle Williams’ songs sounds better and I’m not even a fan of hers.
I don’t think I’m feeling this Sterling Simms song. I saw him perform in Atanta next week and he did a great job..just not loving this one
This time around im anxious to hear Ciara’s new album…I think shes improved on singing ALOT. I know someone whos heard “High Price” already and they said it is HOT and it is a HIT….
I’m really loving Ciara’s song. It’s a nice tune.. I will certainly get her album.

“Anything”: Was listening and just forgot what the song was about. Not good. Ummmm from what I remember it sounded like one of those 6:00 am MTV videos that they don’t want to show when people are actually alive. Kind of annoying, redundant. But I think it was a good song, I just don’t remember.
“Love Story”: No.
I have not been compelled to hear anything Mariah is singing about this time around…

So far Mariah’s album sounds like a TEOM Part II. Artistically speaking it doesn’t impress me. But it brings the hits and gets the job done I guess.

Love story is one of my faves on the e=mc2 album but its way too safe, stay in love is a much better song, or im that chick or lovin you long time. The best option for release imo is either stay in love or wish you well. Bye Bye is a good option because a lot of people can relate to that song and its great.
Ciara is boring to me, she can dance but thats it, im never impressed with the vocals and when she performs live she just talks and not sings. Plus her music pretty much songs like the same thing over and over.
