♫ Ciara - Supernatural (snippet) - listen
A new Ciara snippet has leaked from her upcoming album, Fantasy Ride. Even though the first single is supposedly called “High Price,” and features Ludacris, who made an appearance of Ciara’s first album, 2004’s Goodies, “Supernatural” leaked earlier today. From what I can tell of the snippet, “Supernatural” is a mid-tempo track that finds Ciara pretty much in the same place vocally as on Evolution. Although it’s nothing groundbreaking or Earth-shattering, I’m hoping that Ciara puts out a good product this time around.

I really wanted good things for Sterling Simms - after hearing on “Dig A Hole” on Jay-Z’s Kingdom Come, and even though I hated his first single, “Jump Off,” featuring Sean Paul of the Youngbloodz, I loved his second single, “Nasty Girl,” but it didn’t do to well on radio or on the charts. And after more material leaked, I didn’t see any hints of cohesion on Sterling’s album. I think he just sort of got lost in translation. Shame, too, ’cause we need some dudes to hit hard in R&B.

You may remember last year, we did an artist spotlight on the group Thunderkatz, who recently were signed to Irv Gotti’s The Inc. label. The group, which is actually a band (many people have made comparisons to The Blackeyed Peas, however, the Thunderkatz actually play instruments), is gearing up to release their album soon and will have a single hitting the airwaves within the coming months. I’m eager to see what they came up with.

Mariah has set “Love Story” to the third single from her album, E=MC². The video is being shot soon, and features Nick Cannon, who is also in the video for her scond single, “Bye Bye.” It looks like she’s going for a story the same way she did on Mimi with “It’s Like That” and “We Belong Together.” Fair enough too, because to me, this Jermaine Dupri-produced track sounds like “We Belong Together” part 7. I’m not mad at Mimi, though. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I like Ciara’s snippet so far
Im not feeling Sterling’s song. The lyrics are pretty cool but I don’t really care for the beat/melody.
I like ThuderKatz song, one of the rappers sound like Common ( I don’t think he’s trying to, but they just have similar voices. That’s not a bad thing tho)
I like Mariah’s song. Sounds like her typical songs but like as Brian said, “If it’s not broken don’t fix it”.

Thunderkatz track is very positive, but not really feeling the track either.
Mariah’s track is pretty good..its not my favourite track out there, but it has growing potential. Something about it tho makes me want to sleep, not being disrespectful at all lol.
I cyant stand Ciara, never could doubt i ever will…however, i like this song. She actually can sing now, dont know what she was doing before. But ye, this track is pretty good, i see vocal coaching has done well with her.

Ciara’s vocals are very limited. She has a nice light, soft tone, and that’s why people think she can sing. But her voice is not good enough to be a singer. Her voice sounds extra young and airy on this track! I used to be a Ciara fan until she turned like every other manufactured whore of a singer like all the rest. She tries to hard to be grown and sexy. She’s so wack and his song is boring and lame.
Mariah Carey’s song is cool. Y’all need to stop being so biased on this blog. Don’t bash Mariah but praise Ciara just because you all are tired of seeing Mariah. Y’all did the same thing with Beyonce and Rihanna!
