Check out yet another Mariah Carey remix. This one is for the song “Bye Bye” and it featuring Jay-Z and Jermaine Dupri. I’m actually feeling this one though. Mariah is currently topping the Billboard charts with her latest album E=MC2 selling 463,000 copies its first week. Can’t even hate on that.

As earlier reported, Fergie recorded the opening number to the much-hyped ‘Sex & The City’ movie (in theaters May 27th). The song is entitled, ‘Labels Or Love’, and it premiered on various blogs Wednesday. Sampling the SATC opening theme, the song really falls short. Fergie needs to switch it up already. Jennifer Hudson is also going to be featured on the soundtrack and I can’t wait to hear what she is going to do.

A new Cassie snippet hit the net earlier this week and the girl is trying so hard. I’m sorry, but Cassie just can’t sing. Her beats are always tight though. No word if this song will be on her new album, but it most likely will be. Cassie recently starting filming the video for “Official Girl” a couple weeks ago and I’m sure she’ll be great eye candy or something.

I’m not for or against Cassie. I agree she can’t really sing, and prefer the other girls’s (Karina) version to Official Girl. But Cassie’s music fits a certain genre, I think. Not exactly R&B. Her music is kinda like a throw back to dance music that was really popular in the late 80′s by artists like the cover girls (show me), Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, Sweet Sensation (hooked on you), Expose (Let me the one). I grew up on that music as a kid. I’m several years younger than puffy. So pufffy was probably a teenager when this music was popular, and remembers it very well. And is probably trying to bring it back with Cassie.
