Usher released his new album cover and promo pics on the net via his myspace Friday. The singer has been working hard with the likes of Jay-Z and Jermaine Dupri on his new album “Here I Stand” (out May 27).
Here is what Jermaine Dupri recently told MTV about Usher’s upcoming album:
Usher’s album is more about teaching men [that] at some point, you gotta grow up. And growing up is respecting a woman and having a woman in your life and taking care of your woman. Lol @ spoken words. What is really trying to teach? All these artists do not know what to say anymore. Whether they are rappers or not, they are all pop stars to me. These crazy artists are not as creative as before (Only a few and they don’t sell records). I only hear listenable music. I cannot remember saying wow, this is good music. I think it’s because I listen to only mainstream music. Gosh.. I want to hear more from Solange, Amy, Estelle and hopefully Beyonce.

I don’t know why people are hating on Usher’s new album cover, just like J.D. said, he’s growing up in this album. SO he obviously would not have his shirt off and S$#t like that just to attract more attention. R&B music is going back to the way it once was, about the MUSIC (Hence Ne-Yo’s album title “Year of The Gentlemen”) So chill out with those lil’ Omarion comparison’s cause, there is truly no comparison in there music (except for the dance routines). Also, I will be the first to admit that I was not quite impressed with usher’s two step in the “Love in the Club” video but, I hope the next single “Moving Mountains” he goes in on. Peace!

Our little usher has grown up. I’ve watched Usher through out the years grow from a litle boy into a grown man. That is a beautiful thing to see. And now is married with his very own family and on top of it he married a black women, who is not so much your stereo typical superstar type. That decision right there showed that he was maturing and coming into his own.
I wish him much success in all that he does.
