VIDEO: COTTON…WHAT?

Expressing sentiments following Sen. Barack Obama’s speech, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said last week the United States still has trouble dealing with race because of a national “birth defect” that denied black Americans the opportunities given to whites at the country’s very founding.

The video shows Lou Dobbs as he makes a Freudian slip while talking about Rice’s remarks on race.

damn, he was fired up on what he was talking.

what’s with all the news anchors mistakenly blurting out how they truly feel?

THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE

Lou Dobbs isn’t racist… I really enjoy his show when I have the chance to catch it. He’s not politically biased and he does a great job of reporting the news fairly and intelligently.

He was fired up about this subject and was about to use a phrase that EVERYONE uses – he was smart to catch himself and really think about what it means in context…..

If anything, society should be blamed for normalizing such a racially charged phrase.

  4. Ok....

“As long as I’m permitted to vote, have a job, sit where I want on the bus and live my own little life, I will ask no more from them.”

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…..real talk…

  5. @ #7, dont you mean al sharpton?

  6. Ok....

“America is diverse like a zoo is diverse. All different types of animals of different sizes and types in cages of different sizes and types with the white man as the zookeeper. The other races are here for his exploitation, entertainment, and most importantly to be monitored.”

Lol, that was hilarious man. And u could feel the aggression in his voice when he was trying to say “cotton – pickers” lol. Sorry Lou, now we know how u really feel about us. U dont like us, we get it…

The one thing about racism that pisses me off is when white people and others act as if It doesnt EXIST anymore. I mean are u fuckin serious? Ignorance is here to stay.

They really dont understand. My roommate is white and just yesterday we were having a conversation about racism and he pretty much condemned Obama for his pastor’s remarks.

BIG UP TO CONDI. lol…..smh, America is a mess

  8. SassyT

Thank you, Judah and DatsDaTruth! I’m so sick of black folks tip toeing around the plantation worrying about what white folk think. You both so elequently stated the truth.

  9. NoMoSoul

But uh..to Mr. Judah (weird choice of a screename by the way, doesnt make u seem trustworthy), sure whites preferred MLK over Malcom X because of his non-violent methods when confronting civil rights. And of course it was conspiracy the way they promoted him but it was still a smart move on their part b/c it helped ease tensions within the country. Malcom X was more aggressive with his methods and there would have been chaos ramaging everywhere if blacks just revolted. And even Maclom himself came to respect and learn from MLK.

MLK didnt have to unite the black people. THEY ALREADY WERE UNITED under one common cause. Their unalienable rights. They wanted to equality. They stood together. Dont sit there and say MLK was useless as if he was a fool by being a tool of the white men. He did great things for us. If not for his efforts where do you think you’d be?

U know why black people dont have that today in America? Well, its because we STILL aren’t equal which has effected us as a group heavily. There’s the lack of education, continuation of social programs like welfare, there’s drugs which took a dangerous toll on our communities after being introduced by (i blame the GOV) blacks themselves through means elsewhere.

The fact that we are soooo uneducated has made us short-sighted of our goals. Its thrown us off track. Education is a big part of it. We lack the one thing that could free us from our chains. We have to be smart and not naive. Sophistication is what our ancestors sought after. Nowadays the average blk parent is no more than a child him or herself b/c they werent taught right.

There’s a lot of things keeping us down as a whole but i feel education is a big part of it. Its really hurting black men. MLK was a legend. Id like to see you do what he did. Instead we have Al Sharpton who i think needs to retire. We need someone else who has the integrity and dignity to speak for our people.

PEOPLE DON’T BE FOOLED, LOU DOBBS FROM CNN IS ONE ON THE MOST RACIST T.V PERSONALITIES OUT THERE!!! AND WHITE SUPEREMISTS LOVE HIM. SURE LOU WILL INVITE A FEW BLACK COMMENTATORS ON HIS SHOW, TRYING TO FAKE THE FUNK, BUT I HAVE BEEN WATCH THIS MAN FOR AT LEAST A YEAR, AND HE IS A CLOSET RACIST WHO ABSOLUTELY HATES MEXICANS, AND HE DOES NOT EVEN HIDE IT. ACCORDING TO HIM THE “ILLEGALS” ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DISEASE, CRIME, DRUGS, JOBLOSS, ALL THAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA (LOU DOBBS IS TOTALLY DELUSIONAL, AND IRRATIONAL) , WHEN HE TALKS ABOUT “ILLEGALS” IT’S LIKE HE IS GOING TO LOSE HIS MIND.
AND LOU DOBBS HATES OBAMA WITH A PASSION!! HE DOESN’T EVEN TRY TO DISGUISE IT, AND IT IS QUITE PATHETIC!!! HE ALMOST CRINGES EVERYTIME HE HAS TO REPORT THE NEWS, AND SAY SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT OBAMA. LOU DOBBS IS A RATHER SAD, BOBBLE HEADED, SELF IMPORTANT WINDBAG, WHO IS FULL OF HIMSELF!!
NEW YORK TIMES DID AN ARTICLE ON HIM TITLED: “Truth, Fiction and Lou Dobbs”, the article says it all.

  11. One thing I will say about King…he had a vision for black people in America. And it was sincere. But, like so many leaders before and after him, he had to compromise certain parts of his beliefs just so he can move some of his agenda forward. The events that led to King assassination were rarely reported. In the many months leading to his death, King had made statements opposing the Vietnam War. People viewed his statements to be anti-American, even communistic. You have to understand, communism was a threat, and the RED SCARE and McCarthyism were popular at the time. President Hoover disliked King, and the truth is he wanted to eliminate King. Hoover believed King to be a communist and that King favored many of the communist doctrines or manifesto.

CIA member met with Coretta King with envelop in hand, threatened to expose King alleged infidelity. They threatened to smear his image and his name if he didn’t stop. I don’t know the events that led to his death…who commissioned the assassination…but, there are strong evidence that Hoover played a part in King, JFK and RFK’s deaths. King knew he was going to die that day…his wife knew and the people surrounding him knew.

When you are a leader dealing with the American political system, or any political system, you will make questionable decisions and questionable alliances and you compromise many of your moral beliefs. Every leader had to bear this cross.

  12. NoMoSoul

Agreed # 190. I understand where you’re coming from. But from what i hear it was actually Lyndon Johnson that had a huge part in carrying out the JFK assassination. And then i dont know how that played into MLK’s assassination since Johnson seemed to like the guy, but of course that probably was a cover up. He was looking out for his own personal agenda.

And if im not mistaken #189, Lou Dobbs is actually married to a hispanic woman. Yep, she’s hispanic. Its kinda weird. There was a news special on it and she said that it was kinda weird the relationship they had b/c of his personal beliefs about illegal immigration.

  13. joneblaze

This election is bringing all the closet racisits out !!!

  14. luvutu

yEAH WE ALL KNOW HIS TRUE FEELINGS WERE ABOUT TO COME OUT. THATS THE THING, YEAH THE US TRIES TO APPEAR THAT EVERYTHING IS EQUAL 4 EVERY 1 BUT WE ALL NO THAT IS NOT -THE TRUTH- MINORITIES (PEOPLE WHO R NOT WHITE) AND POOR PEOPLE ARE LOOKED DOWN UPON JUST BY NATURAL REACTION. BECAUSE RACE AND STATUS WILL ALWAYS B A FACTOR. SOME PEOPLE (THOSE NONE MINORITIES) JUS WANT 2 SUGAR COAT EVERYTHING AND MAKE THINGS SEEM HONKY DORY-no pun intended- BUT WE HAVE TO FACE FACTS, ALOT OF THESE TYPICAL STEREOTYPES ARE PLAYED OUT EVERY DAY BY BOTH SIDES…….WE ALL HAVE TO DO BETTER.!!!!!

  15. chisox

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH BLACK PEOPLE!

How can you listen to that whole soundbite and then say the man is racist.
If some black minds can’t grasp someting this simple then they truely are lacking in inteligence.

  16. Andrea

OMG What is the big deal? He was about to say “cotton pickin.” So what!

  17. ocram

It’s funny how he was ranting on and on about not being scared to talked about it. Then he had to sensor himself from the very issue he was speaking about. He put his cotton picking foot right in his own mouth.

  18. JUDAH

    @Dats Da Truth

Thank you sir for bringing some intelligence to this forum instead of the normal emotional outbursts and negro nonsense that I regularly see. Brother; what alot of black people don’t realize is that this country is, as you touched on, in the formative stages of establishing new societal stratifications. This is why many of these white people are complaining. They have a sense of entitlement in this country and they are irate that due to the white man’s politically correct agendas, blacks are actually being superficially pandered to. This civil unrest will lead to widespread racial conflicts and an outright race war because not only are the powers that be tinkering with social placement, on the other end of the spectrum they are also funding white militia groups to prey on the disempowered mindset of the white trash. In the process of all these ruses, one of the goals is to get black people to move past any racial allegiances in favor of patriotism and thus the mindset for globalization. It goes hand and hand with the civil rights movement, the feminist movement, and the homosexual movement, which are and were all also government sponsored. Everyone and everything must be “equal” so that no one respects order. When no one respects order, confusion will ensue and the people will appeal to the government to restore the order that the government itself destroyed. It’s easier to corrupt the minds of the people that have already been Americanized. The people from the other countries whose minds have not been corrupted must be destroyed through ploys known as the “War on Terror”, Darfur, or this issue with the Tibetan monks.

It’s funny that you mention the government programs that are in the works. Most of them are all conditional which is how you know the point of them is to get the disenfranchised blacks dependent on crumbs and thus dependent on the government (once again). Programs like section 8 and many others are usually predicated off of making sure that the black woman has no man in the home before she receives aid. These are all a result of the submission of black people to the will of the system.

The civil rights movement was filled with black people that had upright intentions, but they also had vain aspirations, King being one of them. When you research these people, they almost unerringly had communist leanings, and most of them were some type of sexual deviant. Communism is nothing but a branch on the globalization tree, and these negroes had a battery put into their back by their white Jewish backers. When their usefulness was over, they were put to death. Notice that King lived and spoke for 5 years after the “I Have A Dream” speech but those speeches are never publicized on national TV. That’s how one knows that that speech was Illuministic. The man realized towards the end that he was being used but by then it was too late. The information that Hoover had for King’s wife was only an inkling of the stuff that they had on him, including bisexual orgies, prostitution, and sado-masochist sexual proclivities. The man was detained by police in an Oslo, Norway hotel when he went to get his Nobel Prize for chasing a prostitute down the hotel hallway butt-naked.

  19. WTF? Yes that’s right. Choke that $hit back! Racist mofo. You just proved Rice right. And what kind of dumb a$$ statement was that? Just cause America is the most diverse country we don’t have race issues? SMDH And THEY want us to believe their smarter than us. That’s laughable!

  20. hellrandom00

l watched to the video twice and I think he may have mixed in something else he wanted to say with what he was talking about. Honestly, Condeskeeza isn’t blk to me. She does nothing and has not done anything to help us in our struggle. So disrespecting her isn’t disrespecting me because I dnt like the bitch anyway. PEACE.

  21. WHEREUGETURFACTSFROM

    @ Laura

You are officially an idiot…….please go back and do some research as to who owns the New York Times as well as about 80% of the media you base your facts of off

You are to self centered. get a grip no one is talking to you. Thanks for the attention though. For the record again I WAS TALKING TO JEREMY # 9

  24. Joy

It is soo funny all of you white people can say stuff on the computer, but if we were all in your face you would be scared. Or you would do the white man thing and say hit me 500 times until we knock you on your ass, then you would get up and say it 500 more times. Go back where you came from. If you lost your way, It’s the caucus mountains, Mapquest it if your not sure

  25. JUDAH

    @203

You’ve had them do that “hit me” stuff to you too, lmao? They like that masochistic stuff. It’s funny that you say that too because black people don’t realize how many white people they work with and think are “cool”, that go home and call them the “n” word.

  26. okay

“COTTON PICKING” yeah he was gonna say it but he stopped it right quick. He mights as well go ahead and belt it out because he is gonna catch the same hell either way.

He slipped because he says things like that all the time and probably some much worse in the company of like minded people.

    Shady-ass!

  27. @Judah…at times, the truth can be painful.

CNN is having a special on King…I am curious to see how much they will reveal…or conceal.

  28. cookie

some of you black people need to learn your history. Cotton Picker is a racial slur. Period. He was reffering to a black woman, with a racial slur and caught himself. Lou Dobbs is a racist. This is not old news. That’s precisly why he had his big statement about how wonderful and diverse this country and fell right into a racial slur. He’s racist. Stop dancing around it. It is what it is.

  29. I think Lou lied in this video.
