This is my favorite song on the Graduation album, also. But the video is aiight—the song is about Chicago, so why not show more of the people and places of Chicago, instead of Kanye. The camera is on Kanye’s face in 95% of the video. A video more like “Through the Wire” would have been better for the song.
I like the one with John Legend better then this one. He was rapping the same words though it just seemed more powerful to me. But oh well this one is cool too.
Can’t see the video but I’m mad the video for “Flashing Lights” wasn’t as big as the song…That’s my fav joint on the album…maybe he shot it at the wrong time shortly after his mom’s death b/c the video is very dark and the song itself has alot of life to it so that was a huge disappointment for me…

i prefer this one over the john legend version by far. i think chris martin is just too freaking talented (i’m a huge huge coldplay fan). he may not have a great voice like legend but the man can write lyrics. and the beat for “homecoming” is sick. it reminds me of a cat stevens song from the 70s or something

Cool, simple video. I always thought Homecoming was one of the tighest tracks off of Graduation. That harpsichord loop sounds real good, and Kanye and Chris Martin have great chemistry on the track.
I’m tellin ya, Coldplay (or just Chris Martin, for that matter) has that same kinda appeal to R&B/Hip-Hop artists like Phil Collins always had.

i really like this video and this song is one of my favorites. its definately a step up from that flashing lights mess of a music video.
It’s funny I keep hearing everyone likes the version with John Legend better but the version in the video is the song that is actually on the album. I personally like the Chris Martin version better but too each his own. Kanye has collaborated with two of my favorite artist, Adam Levine from Maroon 5 & Chris Martin. This video is perfect, wouldn’t change a thing. I like artist who take chances with their work. I takes a lot to create something and put it out for the world to respond to.
