Don’t diss Kanye now…that’s MY dude, but Jay’s yours…I’ve gleaned that from the other topic where I responded to this tit for tat you and the other blogger have going over Jay. I can’t say if he ghostwrites for Kanye (I doubt it though because Jay Z has confessed that he’d like to be a conscientious rapper like Common but he needs to fame/money/attention from pop culture…well, Kanye has found a way to do BOTH…he is both a conscientious rapper and pop culture icon…he’s mainstream, in short…if Jay Z could do that…I mean if he COULD ghostwrite for a man who crosses genres…don’t you think he would do it himself?)… anyway, Jay Z said in an interview that Kanye was eager and always rapped for him and he’d be like “ummmm, ok…you got another beat?” he said it was because Kanye was so different, in pink polos and they just didn’t know what to do with him…So, the other person is right when she says he held Kanye back…he’s admitted as much…

Man I miss home (currently in OKC born and raised on the SOUTH SIDE OF THE CHI). Every time a play this track I think of home. Much respect to Kanye for showing love to OUR CITY, THE CITY OF WIND. SEE HOME THIS SUMMER !!!

To #55 the version everyone likes (including myself) is from a mixtape that dropped after College Dropout. It also had the original Hey Mama with John Legend on the hook and without all the synthesizer. The album version of both these songs sound somewhat overproduced versus the the organic sound of the mixtape cuts. If you dig around limewire you could find it. But of course the Chris Martin version is on the album, he’s trying push units, who could blame him…
