We have seen this video before.. It is just like Keisha Cole’s video(Sent from Heaven) except Mary’s video is in a cold environment. They seem to have taken each other’s idea on this on..Both vidoes very boring….but I still love both artist and their struggles just the same…keep holding it down for the ladies!!

I just wished that she would have done a Real ass video and all. The concept was a mess and Hype, Just Keep the Recyclin’ going Brah! Artists have a right to do what they want and make choices for tehir videos (I sdaw how Li’l Kim stepped up for herself with the video for “Put ur Lighters Up.” So you can’t say that you couldn’t Mary. i love this song its one of my favorites off the album, but i must agree they could have done much better for the video, and hype is really losing it he needs to step his game up the last couple of videos i have seen from him were garbage

Absolutely MY FAVE track off the CD - I’m glad she released it as a single. The song tells such a story that I think the video treatment should have told the story of the song.

Some people must have amnesia. Mary didn’t copy Keyshia’s “Heaven Sent,” she copied her own video from 1997 “Everything.” I love Keyshia Cole (from Oakland myself) but it ain’t that serious to claim that Mary copied her when she’s done this type of video when Keyshia was in Junior High!

I agree. The song is one of my favorites on the album but the video was very boring. Not what I expected for such a great song. I got tired of looking at the scenery and began to notice that it switched to the view of the mountains every time she said “Stay Down”.

The song is my favorite on from her CD. I am disappointed in the direction of the video. It could have been so much more. Plus, this seems like a replica of past videos with Mary on mountains, waters, etc.

Why are you complaining about the song/vid? Mary is selling herself to you, not her music. If you were to take her music, alone there’s nothing that separates it from the stuff Keyshia Cole, Monica and Lil Mo are doing. The fact that she’s Mary is the “meat” of her records…You feel her and so you support her. When it comes to people giving you music you can “feel” and having an image/personal story you can “feel” BUT also being artistic and trying to turn out good music, Fantasia would seem the most likely candidate for your support.

I know what Hype/Mary were doing. One of the hardest season to deal with is winter. Hype, was using mountains scenery as too mountains to overcome visual. Not everyone will get that though, I married I get it!!! Lovin it!!

I got that the winter scenery was an extended metaphor for the “winter” season of marriage…the hard times and I didn’t hate the video…I just hate the song. It begins slow and boring, but mature and then in the second verse she goes back to High School with the almost rapping…and it’s just not a good song. None of Mary’s stuff is good, actually. She had one song on her last CD that everybody hated and I actually liked…it sounded like old school soul.
