I agree with you so much. She’s very talented and she has a great voice. People thought she had a studio voice but you should watch her acoustic tour she did overseas where she traveled with her band and guitar and was killing songs with so much emotion. People over there loved her and it’s sad that we don’t appreciate music here in America unless it sells sex and mocks the european women looks. Also don’t forget Broadway stars make a lot of money despite what people may think. Especially playing one of the headline characters in a musical that sells out every show. People in musicals do more work than some of these stars cause they can’t go back in the studio to fix it.

I felt the performance could be a bit more energetic though.

i think the vote from the viewers was unfair. the judges love mya and clints flawless performances. and the intro for mya was great! but i think cbs used mya for ratings. they promoted mya image for the show. every commercial that they aired for the show. they used mya. i think that why they saved her performance for the end of the show. most viewers didnt have enough time to get there vote for mya. mya stole the show with her tap! some of the haters that are commenting are being unfair, jealous, and petty. believeing that mya is a has been is funny. but what they fell to realize is that mya’s team has a great stadegy for promoting her. cbs is highly rated network. so whether she won or lost. its good promotion!!! ha! ha!

But a lot of these artists, singer entertainers are definately tapping into the overseas market with import cd’s. If that is what she is up to then good for Mya her pockets will still be fat! I’m not even gonna pay attention to the ignorant few who claim that Mya’s a has-been. History proves that generally the opinions of those who cannot form a basic critique of an art form without making an idiotic personal slur, shouldn’t be taken seriously anyway.

Back to Mya:

Why do people have to tear down others who obviously work and train their whole lives to live out their dreams to become ALL-AROUND entertainers and performers? By that, I mean Singing, Dancing and Acting? If the nay-sayers had any sense of the history of BLACK ENTERTAINERS, they’d know that one had to train in ALL areas of entertainment if you wanted to make it. I guess the ADD Generation seems to think that if you don’t have a hit album, you’re not relevant. Sadly, probably their own lives and non-achievements reflect that way of thinking. Hopefully, they’ll outgrow that immature way of thinking and learn to embrace black professionals who can do more that just over-sing and shake their asses on stage; you can always tell the real pros from these performers, who while I give them some props, don’t really have the chops or proper techniques to take them to the next level in their art.

That said, MYA, do your thing, nail that gig in Broadway, and know that you have the skills to jump into other areas of the biz should one aspect not pan out. That’s the smart thing.

Sometimes I wonder why do people call celebirties hasbeens and the whole nine. God put them on this earth to do his job just like the rest of us.Sometimes celebirties will mess up by doing stupid stuff that they have no business doing in the first place. If people want to know where is so and so is at or what is so and so’s next project is then go to IMDB.com, it will tell you what that persons next project is whether we see it or not. She did a good job.She’s a very good tap dancer,but it wasn’t really a secret talent.Everyone knew she could tap that’s why she didn’t get enough votes to stay on so she should have done something else.I really think she can bounce back to her music career if she can get with a better label that will promote her right and work with some better song writers and producers or just put out an independent album .She also needs to more acting I would like to see her in more movies.I hope not to see her in any more reality TV shows.

even though the show got cancel after one episode mya’s got everyone buzzing about her performance. she didnt make it to the finals. she left being the best performer of the night… and thats gotta count for something!! in my book. shes still a winner. i think it was great of cbs to put her in the first episode. it helped get her foot back in the door and let her reconnect with her fans and to make new fans just by that performance. mya didnt need to win she just needed to be seen! so for that i know shes pleased. and to the ones who r hatin thats good go ahead and hate…..when you hate on people that just gives more fight to grind harder. we need haters !! to the young ones out there….if anyone tells you that you cant do something and you will never live your dreams and u will never mount to nothing…tell them u can….never give up! if u believe u can u will!!! keep grinding!!
