Here is the video clip of Mya showing off her tap dancing skills on CBS’ newest reality show, Secrets Talents of The Stars. I didn’t peep the premiere episode on Tuesday, so I don’t know if it’s any good, but by judging from some of the reviews I’ve read, the show is another one of those redundant reality competitions. Mya did her thing though.
In related news, Mya will join the cast of the Broadway musical Chicago, as the character murderess Velma Kelly, from May 12th to July 13th.
even though the show got cancel after one episode mya’s got everyone buzzing about her performance. she didnt make it to the finals. she left being the best performer of the night… and thats gotta count for something!! in my book. shes still a winner. i think it was great of cbs to put her in the first episode. it helped get her foot back in the door and let her reconnect with her fans and to make new fans just by that performance. mya didnt need to win she just needed to be seen! so for that i know shes pleased. and to the ones who r hatin thats good go ahead and hate…..when you hate on people that just gives more fight to grind harder. we need haters !! to the young ones out there….if anyone tells you that you cant do something and you will never live your dreams and u will never mount to nothing…tell them u can….never give up! if u believe u can u will!!! keep grinding!!
i have to say i respect mya’s grind! it motivates me to not give up on my dreams no matter how hard they seem and no matter what anyone says i’m never giving up. i’m gonna keep grinding until i get there. much respect mya!

Well I’ve been a Mya fan since she first came out in ’98 and I remember her talking about taking tap for years when she was interviewed in Seventeen magazine. So this was really no surprise for me. Anyway, she did a great job. You could tell she was really enjoying herself out there. She killed that performance.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for her, Teedra, and Amerie to finally get their momentum going again with releasing their albums. I know they can do it, they just have to find the right marketable songs to get people’s attention.
