Confessions started the same way as did this album. With a mediocre song that was “for” the movement. Back then it was CRUNKnB and now it’s with the synths. What’s the difference? Neither of the songs IMO (this or Yeah) were/are great and just like Yeah wasn’t a representation of Confessions as a whole, I don’t think this single will be a representation of whatever this album is.

IDK.. imo, I think they could’ve gone more groundbreaking with the fx and work on the story a bit more — I wanna know why the ppl kept appearing/disappearing & why he woke up in the middle of the club.. They should’ve focused a bit more on that which would have made it more interesting. But overall, lol I think it’s okay for what it was. He could’ve gone the MiMi route and just said EFF IT.

I thought the video fit the song very well. The song is called Love in this CLUB….so it would be kinda weird if there was no club scene in the video. I was jammin the whole time while watching the song…the beat is just hypnotizing. My only complaint is I wish he would of came out with the video sonner…..all in all I liked it.

JSCENE, I love reading your comments, they are so entertaining. The video was ok. What is everyone mad about? It’s called Love In This Club. I don’t know what type of video you were expecting. The song is a let down. Yeah was ten times better than this. He out did Justin with Confessions but I think Justin might have upped the anti with the FutureSex/LoveSounds album. It’s going to be hard to top. I liked the material on that album and I don’t like Justin. We will have to wait till we hear the album though, might be good. I thought Mariah was gonna be wack after hearing Touch My Body but I just heard the album and it’s her best since Daydream. Her first two single choices don’t reflect how hot that album is.

I like the song, but I have to admit I was expecting a lot more out of that video. It was very anti-climatic for me. There was hardly any dancing, which is one of the things usher is known for. I saw a piece of it the other day…maybe the last minute and a half and the reason everyone is saying Keri was sexy without being nasty is because the director cut her scenes. When they’re on the dance floor and she sorta drops back and then Usher pulls her up, into him… She’s obviously dancing ludely…the director cut to disguise her bad dancing…and it just inadvertently made her look like she’s sexy and classy
It’s an old trick, used to disguise bad dancing…You can see it in Mary videos, in Nivea’s videos…in Cherish’s videos (the older sister)…and Trina’s…they cut away and come back to make the dancing look more precise or fluid.

As for Usher’s dancing…yeah, I noticed that too…the routine seemed like they had to make it simple because he had to learn it in a day…Either that or it was choreographed as a couple’s dance and he didn’t want to do those moves behind the video girls anymore (he had the infamous booty bouncer girl…the one Omarion made famous and who went on to dance with nelly furtado and Beyonce)…

And it does put you in the mind of Justin because it’s sooo much like the beat to “My Love”

And I guess now that we’ve seen the video we know the rumor about Tameka putting Keri in ugly clothes that Keri hated was a lie…Not only is the black outfit in Keri’s style but a definite UPGRADE. Keri’s style is very Pussy Cat Doll from the hood. Tameka gave her a look that was definitely sexy, but also high-fashion and punk. The outfit is very revealing, not only is the top a sort of bustier, but the sides of the leggings are see through…so the whole thing about her being jealous…I’m not buying it…

Now, maybe it is true that Tameka got mad and left the set…but I doubt it because Usher’s absolutely dancing like Tameka’s watching…

What do y’all mean Keri didn’t show any skin??? Half of her tities were showing in that dress. That seems to be a big trend now-a-days.
