Why someone would pay more the a couple of 100 dollors for a pair of shoes I don’t know. I can think of better things to do with 4000 dollars. Not a smart way to spend your money even if you can affford it.

The boots are cute…those shoes that beyonce has on and the knockoffs are plain ugly. I usually like originals more than knockoffs, but I wouldn’t pay no 4grand for a shoe. I rather invest that so my money can triple and I’d just chill with other less expensive shoes.

I’ve always hated those Cage sandals with a passion (now and forever), so I wont be copping them in either case…

However, I do agree in that I actually prefer Baker’s version of the open toed boots versus the real deal. I enjoy the ridged bottom and the eyelits for the shoe strings alot better. I dont think I’d wear the black ones though. It diminishes the feature just a *little*. Plus I have way too much black in my wardrobe to begin with.

I like the original shoes that Beyonce had on. Their different and cute without being too over the top. The knockoffs look corny.

I was never a fan of the half boot-half sandal shoe that Tracee is wearing, so I wouldn’t even get the original or the knockoff

I haven’t bought shoes from Bakers in years. I think I was in high school last time my feet could survive Baker shoes. Now I don’t even put my feet through that abuse anymore..LOL. Thanks for the post though CL

the knock offs are very similar to the real thing..however, i wouldn’t wear neither one. The colorful heel dont do it for me..and the back-less boot heel isn’t my cup of tee either.

So, I have to denounce Tianna’s decision to buy the real ones from Balegencia (however the hell you spell it). Tianna says she got a deal..but I know she did not get them for more that 50% off…which means she probably dropped 2000 for it. Very bad role model for these young girls

Seriously, im at work RIGHT now making that money. Guess what, I have investments, I have business ventures to open up my own modeling company. Im really putting my hard earned money to things that I want and things that I need for the FUTURE. I dont splurge on the here and now.
I think alot of women and men of COLOR are bombarded with materialistic pursuits and get rich quick schemes to the point that it is hard to see anything else. But I applaud my people that work hard, play hard and deserve to splurge.

Last part of that sentence was not even necessary. The real and the fake shoes look really cheap. I like Tracee’s but I would never buy nor wear them I just hate that calf-cut open toe boot/sandal style. They look ok on Tracee depending on what she is wearing and because she has long legs. I think the designer style is better the Bakers style screams cheap nubuck and cheap hardware.

I totally agree with #62 and the crazy thing is sometimes(key word sometimes) the only difference between designer and a knock off is the which label gets sewn on. They did a study about peoples perception of value and almost everyone thought that the most expensive item was better because they were told it was more expensive. Some of these comments tie right along with that study

Well I saw those shoes waaaaaaay before I saw them on Beyonce. They were in all the Balenciaga ads but you wouldn’t notice them because of the get-up the model was wearing in the ad. Anyhoo, I love the Lego heels (the first shoe) but nbo I wouldn’t spend 4k unless I had money to throw away. I happened to be in the mal (I hate malls) with a friend and we passed Bakers and I couldn’t believe my eyes! They are ABSOLUTELY horrendous! I just laughed when I saw them.
