The open toed Bleue Semelle rose style worn by Beyonce was copied to be sold for a more buyer friendly price of $79.95.
Beats that $4175 by a long shot doesn’t it? I opted for the real deal (thanks to the great folks over at the Balenciaga shop in Paris)…but this is a good alternative for you ladies who don’t have the ends (or a man that has it at least)…
Wait, Bakers didn’t stop there. They also have a similar version of the Balenciaga open toed lace boot that Tracee Ellis Ross loves to wear. There is the tan colorway, as well as black, pink, and a faux snakeskin blue. Now I would consider this copy, I favor the look of the Bakers version.

Why someone would pay more the a couple of 100 dollors for a pair of shoes I don’t know. I can think of better things to do with 4000 dollars. Not a smart way to spend your money even if you can affford it.

The boots are cute…those shoes that beyonce has on and the knockoffs are plain ugly. I usually like originals more than knockoffs, but I wouldn’t pay no 4grand for a shoe. I rather invest that so my money can triple and I’d just chill with other less expensive shoes.

I’ve always hated those Cage sandals with a passion (now and forever), so I wont be copping them in either case…
However, I do agree in that I actually prefer Baker’s version of the open toed boots versus the real deal. I enjoy the ridged bottom and the eyelits for the shoe strings alot better. I dont think I’d wear the black ones though. It diminishes the feature just a *little*. Plus I have way too much black in my wardrobe to begin with.

the knock offs are very similar to the real thing..however, i wouldn’t wear neither one. The colorful heel dont do it for me..and the back-less boot heel isn’t my cup of tee either.

I have to agree with #6..women of color need to put that money in an savings account or ira for early retirement.. So, I have to denounce Tianna’s decision to buy the real ones from Balegencia (however the hell you spell it). Tianna says she got a deal..but I know she did not get them for more that 50% off…which means she probably dropped 2000 for it. Very bad role model for these young girls

Seriously, im at work RIGHT now making that money. Guess what, I have investments, I have business ventures to open up my own modeling company. Im really putting my hard earned money to things that I want and things that I need for the FUTURE. I dont splurge on the here and now.
I think alot of women and men of COLOR are bombarded with materialistic pursuits and get rich quick schemes to the point that it is hard to see anything else. But I applaud my people that work hard, play hard and deserve to splurge.

Last part of that sentence was not even necessary. The real and the fake shoes look really cheap. I like the way Beyonce wore them with her outfit, but the shoes don’t look like their worth more then a couple hundred (and thats pushing it). One of those things people will buy hoping someone will realize how much the spent on them.
The money for the shoes would be better spent on a trip to Paris then on some shoes that won’t be in still in a couple months (if they are still right now).

I like Tracee’s but I would never buy nor wear them I just hate that calf-cut open toe boot/sandal style. They look ok on Tracee depending on what she is wearing and because she has long legs. I think the designer style is better the Bakers style screams cheap nubuck and cheap hardware.
I would never pay 4,000 dollars for a freaking shoe you are only going to wear a few times cause we are too shallow to wear something more than that. Beyonce didn’t pay nothing for that shoe.
