She first wore it back in 2006 at Usher’s ‘Chicago” debut on Broadway in New York and just this week at an event that raised awareness of HIV and STD’s in minority females in California.

So one of the writers of Girlfriends came to my campus (San Francisco State) last week for a interview in my BECA 550 The Broadcast Interview class, I forgot her name but she is a middle aged white women (I thought that was kind of funny) and we (she and I) talked for about 30 min about Girlfriends. So this is what happed, after the writer’s strike they (her and her writing partner) were informed that the CW was giving the show the boot it was unexpected so they didn’t have any additional episodes taped according to her, Joan’s boyfriend was going to die in Iraq (apparently he has a leading role on a show called Terminator and they needed to write him out of the show, that’s why they had him go to Iraq she said he is doing really well on the new show I havn’t seen it yet). GET THIS TONY WAS COMMING BACK TO THE SHOW ( I fell over when she said that). Tony was going to come back and support Joan during the funeral for Aaron and they were going to make up! Mya and Darnell were actually adopting a baby and William and Monica had there baby.
I wasn’t happy with how they were going to start new season because she said they were going to flash forward and Tony, William and the baby Mya adopted were all going to be five and six years old, it sounded like they were going to skip a lot. anyways she came to my school during the writer’s strike and was confident that Girlfriends was comming back so I always woundered about her since the show was cxld. she made it a point to say “the CW wants to get rid of all their Black shows”.

I like the second way she wore it. She’s looks like she gained and little weight on the second picture. She filled out the dress better.
@ 8/9 – I’m not surprised that the CW wants to AXE all black shows. Prejudiceness will not go away. Next thing you know- “THE Game” will be history too. What a shame.

WOW #*8! I wish they would have had a chacne to shoot the rest of the season. Aaron dying and Toni coming back would have been AWESOME! I am not surprised the CW is trying to get rid of all of the African American shows. We are used to launch networks then discarded when they reach a certain status! SO IRRITATING!
I don’t like the dress period, but I do like Toni. I think polka dot is last spring and the dress looks like something that I would pick up from Ross or TJ Maxx. She could have came a little better than that. She IS Toni Childs!!!
I was so mad when she was telling me everything that was going to happen lol She did make it a point to say (several times I might add) that “Jill left nobody wanted and told her to go” she said that at least four time during our conversation.

anyhow, i don’t like it in either pic. it’s not a pretty dress. with the yellow beads, it looks childish and with the braclet, she looks wide.
I like the FIRST picture better because she looks more “put together”. In the 2nd picture she doesn’t even look ready yet. Natural beauty yes I know, but with that dress, you have to look more glamorous.

To insinuate that something is wrong with wearing the same dress twice…or on a REGULAR BASIS LIKE AN ACTUAL LIVING PERSON, is ridiculous! Jill is gorgeous and only people without style wear things once… Kelis is the ONLY exception to that rule…

And I’m undecided on which one was better. The first one is throwing me off cause it looks like she had the wrong kind of foundation on and the second one she just looks simple and plain. So both are what and what. I think I am going to go with the 2nd pic.

i think she looks nice in both pics. so what she wore the dress twice, if someone was following me around snapping pictures, they’d see me in the same pair of jeans…um…ur…often.
