The girl can’t sing, she can carry a note. And 90% of the time she sounds like she’s talking softly over the beat. I agree that Karina’s voice is a bit too powerful for the song, BUT her version still made me like the song over Cassie’s.

cassie definitely took this one, her voice is a lot more softer and gives it more of an attractive sexiness to it, that Karina makes it feel more “hard”. Karina may have a more powerful voice, but it’s not unique, in this business you need to have something that sets you apart from everyone else, that when you hear their voice, its like yeah thats so and so, and I think Cassie definitely has that. A lot of people hate on her about her voice, but I think she definitenly as a very fresh, sexy, and refreshing vibe about her, she may not be singing like Beyonce, but if you wanted Beyonce go listen to Beyonce, because Cassie gots her own swagger going on (kind of like how Rihanna has her own voice), and I dont think anyone else can touch that. The difference in preference may be attributed to age. Perhaps younger people (in their teens/early 20’s) may prefer Cassie’s version, because her voice sounds very immature and young. Some people are describing Karina’s voice as sounding harsh and deep. Her voice is not harsh at all. Harsh and deep would be Toni Braxton or Jazzmine Sullivan (whom I like by the way). Karina’s voice is light but strong. But nowadays it’s the voices that sound good in studio but bad on stage (Ciara,Brittney,Cassie) that younger people seem to go for. And in regards to Cassie’s looks, I don’t think anyone can deny she’s very, very pretty. So I don’t think this is an attack on her looks. Just a matter of preference.

Karina Pasian’s was much better. I like the lyrics of the song and she rode that track like a beast. I never cared for Cassie’s vocals much anyways, although she has an okay voice. Karina’s sounded better. Another alternative to the song is to have them sing it together.
