♫ Carmen – Mr. Inconsistent
Check out Atlantic Records’ newest girl group. Brittaney, Lana and Roxie make up the threesome Carmen. The group was formed by childhood friends Brittaney and Roxie in Baltimore, MD. The girls went on a nationwide search to find the third member and met Lana. When I first heard about the group, I was excited because there hasn’t been a girl group to make a splash on the scene.
But I have to admit, I’m not really digging “Mr. Inconsistent.” It sounds like the girls have strong voices and can really sing, but there is way too much going on in the production of the song. It just sounds sort of dated and kind of reminds of the era of when TUG was putting out this overly produced songs. The song has been getting a small buzz, but I just don’t think this is a great choice for a first single. But what do you think?

I agree with #35. All these black girl groups rock the same look. I know it is hard for the ladies to get signed if they don’t but it is sad that black females must “deblack” themselves and lighten up their skin and slap on blonde and red weaves and come off as “exotic” or “mixed” as opposed to just being an “average” black female. Sistas sure do have it rough in the industry even with talent.
The song is hot!!! How many females have been in this situation? They remind me of an up and coming Destiny’s Child! Keep doing your thing girls, I can’t wait for the single to hit the radio.

I went to http://www.youtube.com and did a search for the group and I watched thier performance of this song. These ladies have a lot of energy and they actually can sing unlike other female most groups
I know a hot girl group out of the dc area that is on the come up! They are hot and i seen the girls perform. I actually seen Carmen performd and they were ok. I think they are more of a duplication group (ex. destiny child, 3lw). We need something fresh and new. The other girl group from DC is BEAUTY’S DIAMOND. Well they may not be all glitter and weave (lol) these girls have talent and a look that is now!

First off I went to their myspace page and saw their performances and listened to other songs and these girls CAN SING!!! They dance and perform their A’s off. People need to stop HATIN and judgin cause they feel that they are less talented and are jealous of their looks! The song is hot Lose My Breath and Crazy in Love were just as busy a song and HITS! Music is open for another young female group and why not have CARMEN which is an acronym for the person who mentioned that earlier(PAY ATTN) fill that spot. I would love to see them flood the radio stations w their single and half of yall will be hoppin on and dwnlding ringtones…payin their bills not even aware that this is the same group! LOL Just keep workin hard and lettin the haters thicken your skin! Show em just what u can do!
and sorry to say but if your gonna put a group on blast by downin another group……PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY ARE BETTER! LMAO cause just like Rita said they are A HOT MESS! FORREAL! Sorry but let me try to give criticism but they had that comin hatin then blastin….but they just need to sing more, work on their look, and get better equip. Just keep workin at it…….
