Personally Im tired of straight hair on black females. I think its a shame that straightening our hair is a form of “growing up”, like why cant we be grown and sexy with our natural hair? #172 I cosign some of what you are saying. I don’t think it’s so much we are over processing our hair and eating overly processed foods that is damaging our hair. Back in the rural areas, especially of the South, you had a lot of black and Indian mixing which produced very very darkskinned people with long wavy hair sort of like the young singer Lloyd who is Louisiana born. My 92-year-old grandmother told me they were called “black Indians” in her day. I live in Brazil half the year and see many of these same mixtures of very darkskinned blacks with long Indian hair. Of course in Brazil you see some of every type of mixture there is.
