I had the honor of meeting Kanye West on the Charlotte stop of his ‘Glow In The Dark’ tour last night. And let’s just say the concert was basically THE SHIT. Lupe Fiasco killed it! His live stage presence was no joke. He performed with some dope artists too, Nikki Jean being one of them so look out for an Artist Spotlight on her sometime soon. N.E.R.D. killed it (sorry if I’m using that word too much) but that is the only way to describe it. Pharrell got too much swagger and I wish they let us do video because he busted his ass, but he played it off good. lol. Little Miss Rihanna was aiight. Honestly, I wasn’t really feeling her performance. However, she did get the crowd moving when she spit some old reggae hits and of course “Umbrella”. Homegirl is really pretty in person though, like crazily. Oh and I talked to Chris Brown backstage, he was mad cool.
As for the hardest working man in show business? His performance was no joke. Imagine chilling on stage for 90 minutes, working through emotional and physical pain, only to make his performance the best I’ve ever seen live? I can’t even put into words how fantastic his show was. Honestly, the only way to understand what I would describe would be to actually go out and see it. True art, live on stage with no fillers. You know how some people use those stage props as a crutch to compensate for their lack of talent? Kanye used his stage as a stepping stone to catapult him to another level or should I say planet.
Oh and big shout out to Don C. for hooking us up. Security was no joke.

To my understanding a journalist gave Kanye’s performance a B+ (not sure waht city). Kanye told him don’t ever come back to another one of his shows. West is too much
. I would love to see him but I was out of the loop for this concert dates. Hopefully next time around.

i loved the concert when it was here last week! good times good times!
ppl didn’t belive me when i said that kanye would kill the stage for 1.5 hours by him self! no dancers, no background, no dj. nothin.. just kanye! kanye gives the best live show, next to the roots. i loved the ENTIRE show. i swear lupe should’ve been kanye’s opener, not riri. but i digress! this was the 2nd show that ive seen, and not only well worth the money, but well worth the wait! i cant wait for the next cd (im feelin somethin hot with lupe) and the next tour. the show was fantastic (riri couldve tried a tad harder, but it was aiight). lupe, n.e.r.d. and kanye gave fantastic shows. if you don’t already have tickets, you’re missing out!

That show was the SHIT when I saw it back in Sacramento, Ca! I had to travel to Sacramento because the damn San Jose, Ca show sold out before it even went on sell to the public. It was worth it. We really enjoyed ALL the performances! My dude was talking about going to see him again when he comes back to San Jose in June. That’s how good it was.
Man, you just made me want to go to this concert even more! Thanks for making me feel like I was there. I hear Lupe gives a great show and Kanye kills it.

Anyway, the concert was dope though. I’m not going to rock a damn gown to a 4+ hour concert. It wasn’t that serious! When you try hard, that’s when you die hard.
I went to this concert in Tampa and he did in fact kill it. I loved the show. It was an outside show and it was perfect. I agree, Lupe-great!, NERD-different. I am not a true fan of rock music, but they sure had a damn good following at the Amphitheater. Also, Rihanna is really cute in person, not like I met her, but she is pretty from the big screen that I saw her on and looking at her on stage. She had a decent performance. She is not a true entertainer, but she sounded a lot better than I expected her to. Now to the King of Performers. Kanye killed it. He was amazing. No hype man, just him, his heart and soul on the stage. My only regret is that I wasn’t closer. He did an amazing show and performed for a full 1 1/2 hours. Great show, please catch it if its in a town near you.
