Beyonce & Solange made a huge debut in Tokyo last week – as the featured stars in the summer campaign for Japanese accessory designer Samantha Thavasa.
The sisters promote the designer’s summer line of Hand Bags, both appearing on a billboard overlooking the Tokyo’s Fashion District. Beyonce has been featured in Thavasa ads for some years now, but this is the first time her sister has joined along with her.
Speaking of fashion and Beyonce – among the many rumors she’s currently been in, I’m hearing she I supposedly doing something with Chanel, but no word on that one. One thing I do know for certain is she and her line Dereon are receiving backlash for a kids ad that was put out this year…
Jill Scott has collaborated with plus size retailer Ashely Stewart to design the Butterfly Bra – the bra made for the very beautiful and busty woman. Last week Scott held a press conference to announce the official launch of it at Ashley Stewart’s flagship store in Harlem, New York City:
Sometimes I wore two bras at once, one for lift and one for shape. I’ve had custom bras made in London, France and sometimes the support was right but the style was wrong.” The bra was designed to tackle issues common to very ample women: bad underwiring, lack of coverage in the front and straps digging in too deep into the shoulders. With this in mind they filled the under support with gel! Fantastic concept.
The price for the bras start at $38 and are available at ashelystewart.com
