She did a great job dancing and J.lo, Beyonce, Aaliyah, and many others are not “dancers” if yall are trying to judge Alicia on that. Each of those women are choreographed dancers basically who have doing what Alicia is training to do now. Meet with a trainer, learn beats, learn the counts, and work hours perfecting it. Rosie Perez had to teach Jlo cause she wasn’t good when she tried out for In Living Color. Aaliyah was trained by Fatima, Beyonce had a choreographer, and Janet was trained by her brother and another guy ( I forgot his name). Either way I’m sure Alicia can be a great dancer with training.

Alicia was dancing on the Diary Of Alicia Keys Tour, and she wasn’t a good dancer then. I don’t care how much training someone has, that doesn’t mean that they will become a great dancer, better but not great. I applaud her for trying to be more versatile on stage, but I think Alicia is great in concert minus the dancing.
I like Alicia. She looks good as usual.

I’m just saying I’ve gone to the As I Am tour and she did a wonderful job dancing and singing in heels in my opinion. Not saying Alicia will become the best but people are mentioning other dancers that have gone through years of training when Alicia is just starting. I agree with you that she doesn’t need the dancing for her concerts because she did a segment where she was just playing the Piano with the spotlight on her and I loved it more than anything. To me there are not many great dancers today anyway. IMO Ciara, Janet and Mya are like the best in females should I say for today.

I hear you…..Did see Alicia on her last tour ? How is it compared to this one ? I’m curious because I enjoyed her on her last tour and I’m going to see her in June in NYC.
I guessed right for maybe the second time! Alicia is doing her thing I don’t think she is aspires to be the next Janet and blow us away with choreography but she is growing as an entertainer and I can’t wait to see her show when it hits the ATL!

No I didn’t have the opportunity to see her last tour so I really can’t compare it. Seeing this one was great though I can say. Every song I was able to feel the emotions which lacked on many of the previous tours I’ve been to lately by other artists. You’ll get to see Jordin Sparks though. We didn’t have that opportunity. I went to the opening show and I’m guessing you are going to the NY which I tried to get tickets to so you’re lucky. After you go hoefully I’ll see you in a post somewhere and you can give me a comparison between the 2 tours.

#41 I agree with you and Alicia is becoming way too conscious of us looking…the earrings and sunglasses look weird with that obvious chill outfit and the scarf in her hand looks like she and her “person” decided on which she’d rock outside just before she exited the building. It’s lame, girl. You’re way more than the way you look…don’t buy into that, it only leads to getting your career stolen by a Rihanna.
