♫ HOT OR NOT: ASHANTI’S NEW SINGLE
Check out this 90 second snippet of Ashanti’s second single, “Body On Me,” featuring former boyfriend Nelly and producer/singer/songwriter, Akon of Konvict Music. This second single comes from Ashanti’s fourth studio album, The Declaration, which is slated to hit stores on the 3rd of June.
Even though it’s just a 90 second teaser for the fans, I had to see what the CL’ers thought of her next effort, considering how well her first single “The Way That I Love You” is being received on radio and video countdowns. It took a minute for Ashanti to get it together, releasing a few buzz singles, but I think they’re finally making some good decisions. So what do you think?

The song is pretty hot…Ashanti went hard with this single and the way that i love u, considering the fact that Gotti is not in the picture…And about her and nelly, I don’t think they broke up. There are pics of her and nelly together at a private dinner from last week. I think that since there have not been many pics of them together lately people think that they are not together put they are just a private couple.

The song is ok
She should have gotten someone besides Akon to sing his part of the hook. I could have did without Nelly to. It’s radio friendly so it will get spins on radio and in the clubs.

Nelly and Ashanti are still together, people. This is her second single, and they’ll be filming the video within the next couple weeks. Anyway, this song is hot. Definitely a summer jam, and very radio friendly. Her voice sounds really sweet harmonizing with Akon’s, and the chemistry between them vocally sounds natural. I can’t wait until JUNE 3RD to buy THE DECLARATION. It’s going to be monumental!
Akon’s voice kinda distracted me at first, but after getting past that the song is okay.
