Great voice I hope she take her career as far as possible. Sadly with a voice like her’s it is so hard to market, because of American Idol and other reality show were artist is on TV before they became an artist so the public is already sold on that image that they are seeing each week on TV. I know Kim Pate personally, we came in at FAMU together. She has been singing since the very beginning and she was always talented. For the record, she is a very smart and talented young woman, a true go -getter and most of all, she has respect for herself. She may have decided to pose topless, however it was done in a tasteful way. She’s not some random “chicken head”, or “video ho” who quickly decided to sing one day. A woman can still be sexy while not going overboard. So there were some who didin’t like the lyrics too much. That’s fine. They spoke on what someone could relate to. What ever dream (s) we have within ourselves we should all go after it despite what anyone else may say, think, or feel. And that is what she is doing. Everyone is entitled to his/her thoughts and opinions and I respect them all.

This is my first time writing but just like someone said earlier …..

she is a confused young lady trying to take care of herself with what she thinks are the best ways. With a whole lot going on, she is trying to be strong in the mist of making a lot of decisions, many of them wrong. She feels like she is by herself in the world, and essentially she feels like she can’t go on. Sounds like she wants to change and be better, since she doesn’t like what she is seeing in the mirror, but she doesn’t know how. She wants to be good but it ain’t in her, and she is tired of being bad. She is telling a lot of young women’s stories, because many young ladies are going through these exact things.
