Cherish releases a video for their second single, “Amnesia,” the second single from their upcoming sophomore album, The Truth, due out May 13th. The video and the song both are reminiscent of *NSYNC’s “Gone” from years ago, as well as their “Unappreciated” video from the last album. The video was shot here in Atlanta.

Cherish is reminding me of SWV. They have some really good voices, but they got to individualize themselves, I still cant tell them apart. Even the big girl look like the rest of them. A couple of them need to give up the weave or change the color so I can tell them apart!

I was never into Cherish but I like this song, however I would have done this video differently. The constant fake emotions and face shots are annoying. Listen to the words it could have been completely different.

Cherish= upgrade. The lyrics make complete sense, unlike so many “songs” out now. It’s giving me a 90′s vibe, and that is an excellent thing.

We are always touting diversity, but other races openly and proudly make it is clear that they want to see their own on TV, in movies and yes, in music videos .
It seems like when we say we want to see sistas as the desired love interest in videos more regularly, we are automatically blasted as if it is wrong to want to see a black man openly respectfully, desiring or trying to court a black woman. We obviously have been well trained to not love ourselves and then mask it as the desire for diversity and the need to show the “beauty” of interracial relatioships, while ignoring or insulting the beauty of ourselves and “our” relationships. A black man pursuing other races of women ain’t nothing new.
We can still love others, but there is no love like Black love to me and there is nothing great than to see those examples.

I still am not into Cherish; if they want to be a successful group they need to fix their image; they all looks the same; i didnt know there were four/ fivegirls in the group, i thought there were three because it looks like your seeing the same person over and over again. I never cared too much for Cherish, because they were always so mediocre to me and it seemed like they were trying too hard. But, they really did their thing with Amenisa. It’s a nice ballad that I could keep on repeat through out the day. I think they need to stick to ballads as singles. That seems to be their strong point. Underappreciated from their 1st album is another nice ballad from them.
I’m not real familar with Raheem. His new video sucks. It’s all over the place and very low budget. But hey, the song isn’t bad and that’s all really that matters to me.
Fat Joe-The song is alright, but sounds like thousands of other club bangers that’s been done before. The style is getting tired. I’m so glad I don’t depend on BET, MTV, or radio to determine my music taste or else I would be bored out of my mind.
