Happily married couple Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were spotted leaving Waverly Inn restaurant, after having dinner there with LA Reid and others. According to paparazzi, they proudly displayed their new wedding rings to the cameras as Nick helped to cover his wife from the rain.

On getting married so quickly:
Nick: In our minds, it was a love-at-first-sight thing. Since we’ve been together, we’ve been inseparable.
Mariah: I don’t think anyone realized what we already know–that we were going to get married.
On having kids (!):
Mariah: It’s part of the whole purpose of getting married. I’d just want our children to have the best childhood and upbringing they possibly could.
The proposal:
On April 25 Cannon took Carey to the roof of her N.Y.C. apartment to see the Empire State Building, lit pink and lavender to honor her album E=MC². As he often did, he gave her a Ring Pop–candy shaped like a big jewel. But inside the wrapper was a 17-carat pink-diamond ring created by Jacob & Co.’s Jacob Arabo. Her reaction? “He had ribbons around it, so I said, ‘I think mine’s broken,’” says Carey. When he dropped to one knee, “she ran away and got all shy.” he says. Finally, she said yes–twice. Cannon, who filmed it all, proposed again to get a perfect take, this time on a helicopter. “That,” says Carey, “was beautiful.”

Well we will see how much love they will still be in when the “Honeymoon” faze is over. And when the real issues pop up. Like children etc. I mean honestly I hope they really sat down and talked about all of those things before they rushed into marriage. Best of Luck to them, they will need plenty of it.

At any rate…..I like them both and (if) the wedding is real. I wish them nothing but an abundance of blessings. Nothing wrong with being happy and finding someone suited for you, regardless of what others think. And I know Nick may appear to be goofy…but he is obviously not like that 24/7. Thats for the camera. We only see a small portion of any entertainers personality…and because we see it sooooooooo often we are convinced its real. I think they will provide balance for one another.
I do agree with Scurv though….Nick ..as well as Mariah for that matter had better be prepared for skanks and dudes looking to catch them in uncompromising positions just to get a headline or story and sabotage the union. Keep it tight Nick and Mariah!

Congrats to them in their new marriage and happiness. It doesn’t matter how long you date or what kind of wedding you have. What counts is how you act after you get married. If they both make the marriage work they will be fine. Marriage after 6 weeks is no worse than an arranged marriage.
