The 2009 Resort runway presentation for Chanel took place last week in Miami, and one of the most talked about items coming from the show were these the pistol-heeled shoes a few models had to strut in. Designers have been becoming more innovative with footwear lately and I love it!
Designer Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by an image of a gun he saw somewhere, and gave the image to Chanel’s shoe designer Laurence Decade, who used plexi to make the “Miami Vice” shoe. Ladies would you rock it?
And speaking of outrageous designer items – check this new Diorphone priced at $3,500! French luxury brand Christian Dior partnered with phone design company ModeLabs, to release a line of mobile phones, which include a miniature version (My Dior) that women can clip their purse or wear on a pendant (sOURCE).
There is also said to be a “deluxe model studded with 640 diamonds, which comes with an alligator sheath, runs up to 18,000 euros, or about US$27,000″. Ummm yea, I need a phone to make me travel through time for that much!

Plus the gap between the heel of the shoe and the handle of the gun might cause some problems. But they’re fun to look at.

I’ve always been a Chanel girl. Their styles are trendy yet classic. However, I am not loving this particular shoe. Just not my cup of Java. I like the Dior phone though… that is tuff as nails.

@Bouga, some chicks would make their toes smaller to wear designer heels.I can find better heels for in a range of $100-200 and they look twice as better.I think it’s just the name.People think they wear Chanel, it some kind of honor.But if you can afford it, that’s great, but even rich people can’t afford it especially the way the economy is I rather not be eating peanut butter jelly for my shoe fixation.

i have a question, i dont understand how everday people can afford these ridiculously priced designer items. Is it just certain people the bad eceonomic times are affecting. I am in grad school, we have all these student loan issues now with the failing economy, but then i was watching the news and they where talking about getting designer items for 70 percent off. I thought cool let me check it out. the shit cost $1300 dollars. the lady was like oh this is a good price. why the hell would i buy a skirt for 1300 bucks, when half the time people dont even know its a designer item.

#54 You CAN tell high quality items. Designer items are worth the money 99% of the time, but I understand most people can’t afford them. I cannot, honestly. Not in excess. So you’ve got to really pick items that will last forever. They’re of phenomenal quality and they’ll likely last forever, but you can’t buy things that are too of the moment. The good thing is fashion is in a place now where staples are the things to have.
