Here’s another track from Nelly’s new album, Brass Knuckles, due out June 24th. Looks like Nelly has gone back to rapping about kicks again! First it was Air Force 1′s, now it’s J’s. The new song is produced by Jermaine Dupri and it honestly is a little reminiscent of “Grillz” to me. It also features Ciara, who is currently prepping her new album, Fantasy Ride. A lot of Nelly material is leaking. I hope there’s some material that’ll be fresh for the album.

Check out these two new tracks from the Here I Stand sessions/era. Like I said in the last music review, it’s hard to tell what Usher’s going to keep for the album and what he’s going to scrap. But it seems as though the release date has been moved up considering all the leaking that’s been going on. I can’t even really count how many tracks have surfaced online, regardless of whether or not they make the album. Here I Stand has been moved up to hit stores on the 27th of May.

Anyone who knows me knows that I hate a remix that doesn’t improve upon the original. I always love when a remix has different production than the original song, but this track doesn’t do any justice to the lyrics that Solange penned for Michelle’s first single, “We Break the Dawn.” Flo-Rida appears on the remix, which is appropriate, I suppose, considering that he doesn’t curse in any of his raps. I must admit, I like the original a lot better. I’m eager to see what the video’s going to be like.

Bryan-Michael Cox produced this new joint for Chris Brown’s rerelease of his sophomore album, Exclusive: The Forever Edition. Bryan did some work with Chris before on the album (among those, “Throwed” was one of my favorite). I actually am digging the songs that I’ve heard from the rerelease a little more than the original material that’s on the first edition of the album. Chris has been on tour and caught cuddling with Rihanna, but it’s been rumored that he’s already started work on a new album.

Well, I didn’t even listen to Nelly’s song because I heard it already and I think its garbage. Its another sneaker song from the Air Force 1 man and I’m not going to waste my time to listen to it again.
I must say I agree with Brian with Michelle’s song. I hate remixes that aren’t “remixed” in the sense, like Mariah Carey’s Touch My Body remix, there really wasn’t anything different about it.
Usher, Usher, Usher…The songs were just OKAY for me. It wasn’t nothing special. Nothing to make me really feel what he was singing in the songs. I can’t say one is better than the other one. They are both just lukewarm. I doubt they’re going on the albums…
Last but not least, Chris Brown. To tell you the truth, I didn’t hate it but I didn’t like it either. I don’t know whats really the right word for it right now. The problem is in my opinion, is that Chris Brown sounds like he is still in the stage of puberty. It sounds as if his voice never matured. He has such a high pitch but girly voice which is something I can’t take all the time in R&B. Sometimes, you want to listen to the smooth and deep voices playing on your radio and thats something Chris doesn’t have yet. If anything, maybe some vocal lessons can help him. The boy can sing, no doubt about that, but he needs to learn how to sing in an alto tone.
Best Things is atm not the full version of the song. theres gonna be a part of jay-z.

umm yall sure flo-rida dont cuss, i mean i never heard anything by him besides that apple bottom song or wuteva its called and absolutely hated it and vowed to never direct my attention towards anything he does. And with that said I find it hard to believe that with his participation in the area of gargabe rappers looking for a quick and easy dollar that he does it without profanity!! CL quit lyin.
I only listened to Michelle because I am confident that the others will bring it. I just wanted to see what Michelle was offering since she is nothing beyond a backup singer and not a good one at that. The song was ok. Its nothing new or cutting edge. Her vocals are meagar. It’s just a radio filler during the wee hours of the morning when no one is really listening to the radio or it may be good for TJ Maxx or some other department store. I like Michelle and Kelly! But, I think it would be in Michelle and Kelly’s best interest to connect with two other struggling singers and make one dymanic super girl group to fill that void. Hmmm…. Michelle, Kelly, Monica and Brandy. Go ‘head and work it out Papa Joe 2.0!
