Check out this new Chris Brown song that will be featured on the Forever Edition of his sophomore album, Exclusive. The track features my girl Keri Hilson. I never would have thought that they would do a duet together. I’m happy to see that Keri is getting features like this now. For some reason, features always get me excited because it seems as if an artist is getting closer to releasing an album. Keri’s debut album, In A Perfect World… is set to drop soon. I actually like how their voices sound together. Look for the rerelease of Exclusive in stores June 3rd.

Oh goodness. Is she doing it again? Coming out with songs that I like, regardless of the fact that I just can’t stand the fact that she is a horrible performer? I fell victim to Cassie’s production the last go ’round. I knew that Bryan-Michael Cox was doing tracks for Cassie, but I wasn’t sure what to expect. He definitely delivered a great club track for her. The yet-to-be-titled sophomore project from Cassie has yet to have a concrete release date, but “Official Girl” has been catching on like wildfire. Although I was skeptical about Cassie’s sophomore album, I have to admit that I’ve liked a few of the songs that have released. Hopefully she can move a little something this time.

Seems as if everyone is gearing up for a rerelease. But I’m not even sure that a rerelease can pump some blood into the already dead 10th studio album from Janet, Discipline. “Can’t Be Good” is supposed to be the third single from the album, but I have yet to hear it on the radio, much less, plans for a video. I really wish that Janet would have gone for releasing “Luv” as the third (or even second) single. That song gets more radio play than I ever heard for “Rock With U” or “Can’t Be Good.” The Red Rat Remix of this joint is set to appear on the rerelease of Discipline. But I just don’t see the point.

This new song from Usher’s Here I Stand was produced by the Avila Brothers and penned by none other than Sean Garrett, who is working on a debut album right now. I dig the production on this song, but it’s something about it that’s just leaving me cold. That kind of seems to be the trend with this new Usher music: it’s either hit or miss, there’s nothing in between where I’m just like “Oh okay, this is a cool album track.” It doesn’t hurt my anticipation for the new album though. Here I Am hits stores May 27th.
im not really feeling the cassie song, irregardless of the fact that bmcox produced it. her voice is just so weak!! however, i must admit that i was a fan of her first album lol
i loooove keri hilson!! her and chris are an odd match for duet tho, considering (IMO) her voice wayyy too strong to be matched with his. but hey! that is just MY opinion..haha

I like the other Chris Brown song that was posted the other day. The Cassie and Usher are ok. Now as far as Janet, I like the orginal better. I don’t know what is going on with her cd because I have that on constant rotation. I believe with her getting sick that it really threw off the promotion and I agree that LUV definitely needs to be a single. The reason why Janet’s new CD Discipline hasn’t taken off is because the radio is still boycotting her music. The only reason why Feedback made it to number 19 is because of us (her fans) buying the damn song. Def Jam needs to step it up in the Janet promotion too. The only time we seen her on TV was during the first two weeks of the release of Discipline. Janet didn’t even go on BET to promote it. I know she has a tour coming but dammit Janet release some videos until then. LUV is a great song hell its the second single and a video wasn’t made. Rock With U is the third single a video was made. However, Americans don’t even listen to that type of music. I’m just a disappointed fan. LUV is very catchy and can be heard on all formats. The summer is quickly approaching and we want to dance not think about what can’t b good. SO THE SINGLES THAT SHOULD BE RELEASED ARE 2NITE, ROLLERCOASTER, THE 1, OR SO MUCH BETTA.

Am I the only one that though both Keri and Chris sounded like awful-hot-ass howling-straining-messes when they tried to sing out of their registers? That was so unpleasant to listen to. Do you all really think this sounds nice? I am not hating, it was seriously just slightly painful to listen to.

*RADIO is important. Not just a “week” of commercials on MTV. MTV finally decided to do something…but they needed to do more than just commercials. I mean..JANET isnt your “typical” one hit wonder kind of woman. She is a *beast in the pop catalogue and Billboard.
Radio has all the power to how many listeners will hear a song….or they are called “impressions”….
Just remember…that at the end of the day…there is a group of people called “haters” that will prevent your song from being played unless you have some serious MONEY.

I have been listening to the chris brown song hard since you posted it, and whereas i’m not a chris brown fan (i think i like only one other song) i’m liking this track. Now i think that if it was sung featuring Brandy it would have been off the hook (as i really don’t understand the fuss about Keri Hilson) or even Rhi Rhi would’ve been cute
