A little while ago, we posted some updates about Robin Thicke releasing his third album, and the first single was slated to be called “Magic.” Here it is! Sorry about all the DJ mess going on in the beginning, but I was excited to post this track when I get the information in my inbox. The Evolution of Robin Thicke was a really good album to me, and I was even more in love with his first album, Beautiful World, so I was quite anxious to hear what this new material for the new album. “Magic” is definitely jamming. I’m digging the music.

Here’s more music from Teairra Mari’s new project, which is due out on Interscope this summer. I was actually a fan of Teairra’s debut album (save a few songs — like “No Daddy”), so when I found that she was coming back onto the scene, I wanted to see what kind of look and sound she was going for. Although I’m rooting for Teairra, and I’m definitely in her corner, I haven’t really liked any of the other songs leaked aside from the single, “No No No.” Hopefully these are just teaser tracks.

A couple of weeks ago, we did a Hot or Not spotlight on Shanell, who is 1/3 of the writing, performing collective, The Girls Club. Check out this new snippet that appeared on her MySpace page, titled “Hate This City.” It has a very retro, pop, 80′s-synth feel to it, and I absolutely love the composition, production and the lyrics. I’m eager to hear what a full version of the song sounds like.

The way Mario was talking about his new album after the not so stellar success of his last album, Go!, I was thinking to hear something really innovative and different from him for his fourth album. I’m hoping that this is old material that was just leaked and not representative of what he’s got up his sleeve for the next project, because this just isn’t going to hit it. This record is a few months late.

@ 5, I don’t recall TEAIRRA being arrogant, maybe you kept that in mind because she played the role of an “I don’t give a fuck” chick in her songs, but in all the interviews I’ve seen or read of her she was pretty laid back. Matter of fact LOVEBSCOTT interviewed her recently, she was really cool.

That Mario song cant be new material because Dawn from Danity Kane did a song called Flawless to that same track… a lil while back, it even featured Weezy. But anyway, I not feeling any of the songs I’ve heard from Teairra Mari’s upcoming project…

Robin Thicke’s song is the other half of Move On Up Destination Kanye used the majority of it on Touch the sky. These dudes need to figure out how to write music if they are going to boast that they are the best. Instead they rob old tunes and pull the wool over the younger crowds eyes and naturally they don’t know old school disco so they don’t care.
Shame on all ya’ll. The number one spot is for a person who does the work necessary to deem them such. What are you going to sample in 20 years if all you do is sample now. You can’t just keep biting all the time you have to create. Think about it.

The more songs you leak of Teirra Marie, the more sorry I feel for this chick. I do not like these corny , sad songs that I am hearing. I was a big fan of the first album that was full of “boppyness” and youthful fun. Im not hearing that same life she once possessed!!! THat Robin is HOT.

I did see the interview with terri marri and bscott, i never knew who she was till the interview. But she seems really nice, has a great voice and personality.
I do think that if she wants to be a star, she should enable her songs to showcase her vocals because they dont. She also needs to learn how to write songs properly, but she certainly has star potential.

Mario’s own cockiness has done him in…he got kicked off the Dancing show merely because he chose to be salacious over and over again both in the dances and behind-the-scenes moments (which he knew would be televised). And it’s why he left…the older judge grew annoyed by the way he portrayed himself to be a horn-dog womanizer…it just wasn’t classy and so he’s at home. Whatever, though…his voice is still crazy.

Alright to #14 Robin Thicke officially got the black pass. But Justin Timberlake? I don’t think so. He is arrogant and his music isn’t that hot. I mean sure “My Love” was a banger but after that there was nothing R&B about his album. Robin Thicke is a better vocalist/songwriter/ and producer than Justin hands down. Justin tries to hard.As you can see I’m anticipating for a new Robin album. LOL. Robin, Maxwell, and Usher . Jennifer Hudson, Erykah, Mariah, Whitney, this is going to be a great year for R&B!
