Fantasia left Simon’s lower lip on the floor! My girl tore it down last night! I loved her performance and thought if only Syeshia had those moves and that voice, she could have a chance at winning it all. What I love about Fantasia is that she puts everything she got into her performances and brings it like a true diva! Those Idol contestants need to watch and learn! Loved the new song, loved the dancing, loved the outfit… homegirl dropped it like it was hot hot hot! Show stopper, show show stopper!

I watched American Idol last night out of boredem, because I already know that robot a.k.a. David Archuletta will win, but anyway I saw Fantasia’s performance and I liked it. She was giving it a lot of energy. I just felt she was mumbling too much on some parts. If she was singing more clearly, it would have been a better performance. But yeah Angel, I saw Simon’s face and it was priceless. I don’t think he liked Fantasia’s performance. LOL!!

Fantasia had a lot of energy in her performance which was great…BUT I had no idea what she was saying…I couldn’t get into the song because I couldn’t understand a word of it…I think she’s a great singer/screamer…but she really needs to find a happy medium when she’s performing live.

90210 is the zipcode for Beverly Hills which is considered an area for the wealthy and elite. It is unfortunate that the writers of the show have not considered that Cali is culturally and ethnically diversified; as a result they have decided to portray this show as a dominant caucasian-weak rip off of a former popular show.

i thought fantasia’s performance was a little wild and spastic. too much “hooperin’ and hollarin’” for me. but it was good to see her back though.

#46 I thought the same thing. It wasnt a classy performance at all and Ryan didnt interview her as long as he has done in the past with previous winners. I think they wanted to get Tasia off stage. Now I cant wait til Ruben comes back and performs. I know he will do a better job!

Please if they wanted Fannie off the stage they wouldn’t have invited her in the first place. as for tristan, they have him play the part of “the new brandon” on the show. so he wont be done like vanessa because hers was a recurring;tristan has a starring role. he plays the adopted son of the family the show is based on. for those who know about the original, then you’ll know what i am talking about.

Yeah, Tristan will be the new token Knee-Grow, but w/e. He’s still a good little actor, and he’s a cutie. So, hopefully, bigger and better things will come Young Man’s way.

Off topic but there’s this dumb ass show on the CW called Farmer’s Got a Wife (or something like that). Of course, they have the one Black sister (and not a cute one at that) in the mix. This show is is soooooooo stupid. I caught the tail end and the whole time I was watching it I kept thinking, why the hell would a sister want to compete against all these White women to get with a White farmer? This whole 90210 thing reminds me of that because Tristan seems so out of place in this cas. There weren’t any Black folks on 90210 when it first aired so I guess they think making him an addition is bringing things into the new millenium. I won’t be watching.

Simon’s face meant “WTF”? From the hair, to the dancing, to the ghetto stooping, to the SONG it just wasn’t appropriate for idol. And, when they announced that she’d sing “Bore Me” I said “that’s not appropriate.” And, Simon was both shocked and repulsed. Their ratings are already dipping and it absolutely was a case of her look/performance being so low-browed. Now, ask me if she showed out? lol Albeit IMMENSELY INAPPROPRIATE FOR THE IDOL STAGE, the girl got down! I am going to one of her concerts now. She was like a baby Tina Turner and if the other poster who said if she had Bey’s looks, she would trump her in the Tina Jr department is 100% correct! She even gets around all slumped over like Tina…check old performance pics if you think I’m lying. Tina’s dancing was feral, she was a wild country girl like Fantasia…not a trained dancer…but anyway, yeah…I felt sorry for her when they showed Simon’s face!

I dont understand the criticism of Fantasia’s performance. She is so unique and what a blessing to see a different rep of black women. It should not be embarrassing for black women to show their talent, energy, and their moves . We should not feel pressured to present a tepid performance to appease the white media. I am honored to see real talent not hidden behind a lace front wig. Her performance was great for tv. Jordan Sparks, with her cute self, appeals to the pop scene and will never approach this level of performance or success. Tasia is not afraid to be herself. thats refreshing
